Fully accountable to drive a scientific approach to sales whilst embedding a performance based culture, transforming front office operations and directly influencing operating income results.

This includes the definition and implementation of a common sales strategy, digital sales transformation; optimising European sales team sizes & resourcing and implementing new technologies, including CRM, to achieve profitable sales growth targets in line with the corporate goals.

With direct management of a team of 4-6, he / she provides the leadership to transform, standardise, and optimise Tech Data’s sales operations through spearheading the design, documentation, best practice sharing and implementation of structured methodologies, tools and processes across Europe.

He / she closely partners with country management teams, directing and coordinating activities, acting as the ultimate responsible for the completion of projects / objectives within prescribed time frames and funding parameters.

Responsibilities : Leadership, team building, mentoring and coaching abilities of the highest order.Self-motivator able to define and achieve clear individual, team and company priorities within necessary time frames and budget.

Advanced knowledge of Tech Data’s business practices, recognized as a Subject Matter Expert.Extensive root cause diagnosis and problem solving skills, comfortable translating abstract conceptual information into concrete actionable operational programs that create impact.

Design, build and evolve the next generation European Sales Effectiveness team, particularly with the inclusion and development of digital sales channels and technologies (ML, AI and business models).

Liaises with the European Executive Board and regional executives to prioritize, drive and direct sales improvement initiatives across our European operations.

Assumes accountability for the results of country operations for sales, and directs management efforts to increase the profitability of customers or channels through the prioritization, and deployment of key sales management levers.

Develops and leads front-office performance improvement or transformation by working with local mgmt. teams, coordinating assigned resources and prioritizing / implementing appropriate programs.

Creates a workplace climate that encourages commitment and that motivates staff to perform.Monitors and analyses financial & operational sales performance (QBR’s) driving remediation actions, critical dialogue and strategies where deviations against pre-defined KPIs are identified.

Develop senior sales mgmt. teams across EMEA on advanced sales methodologies, processes and tools (SAP CRM, country sales forecasting, E-business, sales incentive targeting systems, etc.

Leads and transforms the iTS excellence program to ensure the necessary skills, knowledge and abilities are retained, up-to-date, and are effective in delivering operational impact.

Maintains in-depth market knowledge, customer channel and product segment understanding to develop business management processes, which support sound strategic sales planning, customer satisfaction, E-commerce and profitable growth.

Business owner in the definition of functional specs of IT innovations for sales (SAP CRM, QMT, IPT Telephony etc.) liaising with TDIT and in-country business users to define priority and roll out strategy.

Act as a key role model to the organization demonstrating the highest adherence to the corporation’s key values of Integrity, Excellence, Accountability, Collaboration and Inclusion.

Oversees the company’s operating policies and practices for sales and ensures these meet and exceed where possible, all corporate requirements.

Performs other duties as assigned by Head of VanguardKnowledge, Skills and Experience : A minimum of 3 years as director, or 5 years operating profitable large scale multi-site or single site business units, in a relevant front-office discipline, ideally sales management or sales consultancy.

Graduate degree required / preference given to those candidates possessing MBA.Fluent in English (other languages a benefit), exceptional verbal, written and communication skills.

Proven track record in program design, execution and transformation management, utilizing structured methodologies and metrics in the sales, product marketing, profit and / or e-business areas.

  • Able to effectively work in a multi-cultural and multi-skilled team.Proven track record in motivating and obtaining results, leading by example with a hands-on management style possessing superior strategic and analytical skills;
  • superb business judgment and excellent negotiation and persuasive abilities.Significant previous experience implementing large multisite / geography projects (ideally sales transformation or customer related) with significant financial impact / OI improvements.

    Experience in relationship building and facilitation skills with business partners; influence without authority; comfortable interacting with senior management.

    Able to work effectively in a multi-tasking environment; able to work constructively under stress and high pressure.EU-Citizenship or working permit required.

    Working Conditions : Normal, professional office environmentAvailability to travel outside of home country up to 80%, depending on project requirementsFull time
