Risk Leasing Solutions principle mission is to advise the Executive management in the definition of the risk appetite for Leasing Solutions’ business line, contribute, as second level of defense, to ensure the proper management and control of credit risk and operational risk, alert the management on the risk level and contribute to the development of risk culture.
We are looking after a professional to take on the position of Junior RISK ORC Officer Iberia.
Independency - RISK ORC is an independent risk team supporting Leasing Solutions and fully integrated within Leasing Solutions RISK.
Reporting line - To Leasing Solutions Head of Risk Iberia.
Acts as the second line of defence for Operational Risks and Permanent Control that fall under RISK responsibilities;
Provides an independent vision on operational risks to ensure that business is aware of their risks and correctly manage them;
Provides an overall analysis and ensure reporting coherence on all Operational Risk and Permanent Control perimeter to the Executive Management, Board, and Supervisors etc.
Ensure the organisation of the ICC committee and the production or contribution to the main regulatory reports.
1. Deploy and maintain the operational risks and permanent control framework in Leasing Solutions Iberia :
Applies and adapts, if required, operational risks and permanent control framework by taking into account the guidelines defined by the BNPP Group :
Disseminate the norms, the standards, a common methodological approach and intervene in assistance;
Ensure the effective implementation of risk identification and assessment framework
Supervise and oversee the internal control systems;
Animate and impulse the control plan establishment and its assessment;
Ensure the right management of procedures;
Give an independent view, and potential alert on the level of risk and on the risk mitigation framework status;
Give an expertise on fraud risk management and 3rd party risk management
Performs 2nd level controls and reviews on a regular basis :
Ensures an independent challenge of the identification and assessment of the operational risk profile and of the risk mitigation framework coming from 1st Line of Defence (LoD);
Challenges and Test of the 1st level controls (Control testing, sampling, );
Executes 2nd level controls on historical incidents and potential incident collection (validation and quality review);
Executes thematic controls;
Ensures that for the most important deficiencies are properly reported and an action plan is defined and followed up.
2. Animate LS RISK ORC community through information, training, explanation, best practice sharing.
Sets up a strong functional link with Head of Risk ORC Corporate via regular exchanges and country visits (Spain / Portugal);
Ensures the application of the operational risk management norms defined by Group RISK ORC Group and by Leasing Solutions RISK ORC;
Is the referent for LS Iberia on permanent control and operational risk management;
Ensures the good use of permanent control and operational risk group’s tool in LS Iberia.
3. Organize and / or contribute to the production process of the main regulatory or management report.
Produces periodical internal report on permanent control and operational risk (historical incidents declared, recommendations’ follow up, );
Produce the Permanent Control report;
Contribute to the production of the RCI;
Prepare and lead the Iberia Internal Control Committees (ICC)
4. Duty of alert and role of advice
Alert the management in case of a non-existent or inefficient permanent control framework or anomalies or incidents identified as part of the measurement and management of operational risks
Advice the management and provide them with actions intended to mitigate the risks or to improve the framework
Qualification and skill required
More than 3 years of job experience in ORC, Compliance or Audit
Language skills English and Spanish fluent spoken and written
Knowledge of operational risk, permanent control and regulatory environment
Capability to manage relationships, especially at senior management level
Capability to act as a consultant, with proactivity
Analysis and summarisation skills
Ability to communicate with operational staff and managers
Independence in judgment and action
Willing to travel
