In this position you will
Develop complex, automated data analytics solutions for life science and health care
Analysis and interpretation of data from QIAGEN instruments and detection platforms
Use of predictive modelling and machine learning techniques to predict instrument and run performance
Contribution to prototyping and optimization of algorithms
Design and creation of applications to present analytical results to internal and external customers
Support innovation, share ideas
Work in an international and interdisciplinary team
At least a Master’s degree in computer science, biomedical engineering, electronics engineering, telecommunications or other equivalent discipline with at least 5 years of experience in software development, ideally for the healthcare or IVD industry.
Excellent programming skills in Java and scripting languages (e.g. Python, R).
Extensive experience with advanced data analytics and statistical methods.
Solid understanding of, and genuine interest in the inner workings of advanced algorithms.
Good command of English (oral and written).
The following competences will be a plus :
Practical experience in agile software development
Experience in Linux environments and on Cloud Computing.
Multi-disciplinary technical knowledge in some of the following areas (optics, fluidics, electronics, molecular biology, PCR)
Some experience in development of Instrumentation (mechanical, electrical or optical design).
Knowledge of regulatory standards, specifically ISO 13485 and ISO 62304, and how they apply to software development.
Good team working ability and communications skills.
Analytical mindset and problem-solving skills.
