Summary of the role
The role will involve both leading sales support as well as coordinating the team that covers both the Merchant and the Payer areas.
This position will suit someone dynamic with equal passion for the financial and the travel industries. You will have the ability to multi-
task and work with culturally diverse teams. As the successful candidate you will have to be a strong team player, an engaged motivator, capable of overcoming challenges, continuously improve, work hard and deliver in a lean and agile environment.
You will set KPIs and own end to end processes and you will make independent recommendations as necessary to safeguard timelines in line with demanding commercial benchmarks.
Lead and coordinate the sales support team, with special focus on the prioritization of tasks and ensuring support continuity.
This will requires stepping in as needed and escalating where and when necessary to management of the Unit as well as to other divisions within Amadeus.
Ensure all team members work to pool best practices, documentation, processes and other tasks that ensure an"over-the-top"over all lean Sales Support experience.
The position will promote and contribute to team-based approach in completing tasks and meeting internal and external needs.
This will include contributing to management reporting as needed.
Merchant Sales Support
This position will pay special attention to critical customers and key accounts and provide hands-on support in these cases during the contract negotiation phases.
It will require interaction with key stakeholders from the Payments sales, product, delivery and operation areas as well as designing and leading the process and coordination of RFPs and tenders from customers.
The position is responsible for ensuring the provision of updated collateral, customer intelligence, value propositions and commercial proposals.
The merchant activity requires an active collaboration with other senior members from the Airlines Commercial Unit (and other corporate teams like Legal).
B2B Sales Support
Work with the customers and partners to ensure a lean commercial on boarding that is compliant with regulatory standards, ensuring high quality and timely completion of all requirements at the onset and renewal of client relationships.
Lead role in the onboarding process design, including the definition of benchmarks and KPIs. This requires interaction with internal parties as well as senior staff from the Payment partners.
Special focus and proactivity on key accounts will be expected, ensuring a smooth relationship with the sales leaders.
Financial and Regulatory entry point for Sales Support
Work with the Amadeus Payments Consulting team, Product Management and the Amadeus partners to stay current with all regulatory changes and requirements around financial compliance and payments regulation.
Requirements : Education
University Degree in Business / Financial / Banking highly desirable.
Relevant work experience
8 years of Experience or more (ideally in a multinational or large entity) working in Sales / Commercial roles. Proven experience in client-
facing environments. Hands-on experience with CRM systems. Knowledge of the financial regulatory aspects related to the onboarding of corporate customers (KYC / KYB processes).
Understanding of the Financial and Credit Card industries and Payments in General.An understanding of the Travel industry is highly desirable, in particular with regards to intermediated distribution of travel services.
