In the current economic climate, there have been an unprecedented number of business failures, financial frauds and accounting irregularities.

These and other events have resulted in regulatory interventions, investigations, financial restatements and a sizeable number of lawsuits.

    For over 10 years, A&M Madrid has worked with leading companies, financial institutions and public administration to solve operational, financial and regulatory challenges and provide management solutions.

    We are experiencing a growing demand for our forensic accounting services across Europe and so combined with our international D&I professionals, we are expanding our local resources to provide the full range of forensic services to the Spanish market.

    Against this backdrop and our growing presence in Spain, exciting opportunities exist at all levels for talented Forensic Accountants in our Madrid office as we set up this new team.

    The successful appointees will play key roles in the building and developing of the practice with emphasis on thought leadership as well as practice and business development.

    The Opportunities and Critical Capabilities

    The preferred candidates will be an action-oriented self-starter with entrepreneurial flair. You will be comfortable working independently as well as part of a high performing team.

    Critically, they will need to be client facing, bringing a strong network of contacts with a successful track record of achieving profitable sales and business development.

    Additionally, the successful candidate will also be experience in identifying and attracting top talent into their team and managing a cohesive and productive business unit.

    In addition, the successful candidate will have :

  • Proven track record in managing complex investigations and disputes
  • Demonstrable track record in Practice Development (Marketing / Sales and Business Development as well as team building and leadership)
  • Desired Audit training
  • Strong network in Spanish legal and compliance market
  • Experience in managing Regulatory inquiries and with Expert testimony experience
  • Strong project management and leadership skills
  • Fluency in Spanish and English (Additional European language skills highly desirable German or French).

  • Academics and qualifications

    You will need at least an accounting and finance Bachelor’s degree or equivalent from an accredited university. Furthermore, you will have been trained in Audit in the Big 4 or comparable top tier practice.

    Additional training or degree in law is highly desirable.
