Role Purpose

The EMEA Experiential Team is part of the Omnichannel Demand Organization. The Omnichannel Demand Organization is responsible for driving engagement, demand and achieving successful relationships & revenue outcomes through the organization of physical and virtual events.

The EMEA Experiential Events Lead will be responsible for the successful delivery of Rockwell Automation’s events and experiences with specific focus on technical’ events and interactions (TechED EMEA, onCourse and Customer Experiences / Demos) - ensuring they are relevant, inspiration and personalized for all attendees.

Together with their team he / she will be working to manage world class projects that are profitable and deliver to its objectives.

Simultaneously he / she will own the EMEA onCourse project, working alongside the global team to ensure consistency and best practice across all RA products and offerings.

Key Responsibilities

  • Management of the TechED EMEA physical event and the online TechED Tuesday experiences. Develop the approach aligned to the strategy and business needs, liaison with key stakeholders and work with the wider team on internal communication and external promotion
  • Own the Rockwell Automation EMEA onCourse concept, working with the global and regional teams to ensure alignment to regional priorities and focus.
  • Develop and manage the internal and external communications approach working with internal and external stakeholders and suppliers.

    Enable sales and distributor specialists to deliver remote hardware-based product demos, training sessions and technical seminars to customers

  • Lead all event project tasks including initial brainstorms, creative proposal solutions, service level agreement, kick off meetings, project plans, budgets, timelines, taking and distributing contact reports for internal and external meetings, management of team hours, delegate management and onsite event management, as well as other event tasks required to deliver the project to an excellent standard
  • Collaborate with the broader marketing and sales teams to ensure consistent approach across all channels
  • Work closely with the Event Engineering Team to deliver the right technical demos, assets and trade show presence that presents the key values of the entire RA product portfolio
  • Monitor effectiveness of approach, events, team and make recommendations for future enhancement
  • Skills, Knowledge, Experience and Education

  • Experienced Project Manager with ability to lead, and project manage, the successful implementation of multiple events, projects and activities simultaneously
  • Strong technical understanding and experience in Rockwell Automation products, services and solutions
  • Functional and people management experience within an international environment minimum of 2 years
  • Experience and understanding of strategies, tools and technologies that enhance engagement and interaction with audiences
  • Ability to work across groups, locally and globally, and drive results
  • Ownership of financial management and processes capex and opex
  • Temperament

  • Delivery of successful presence at 3rd party trade shows, executive events and RA owned events primarily TechED EMEA
  • Own the Rockwell Automation EMEA onCourse concept, enabling sales and distributor specialists to deliver remote hardware-based product demos, training sessions and technical seminars to customers
