As a Loan Administration technician, you will support the management of an international portfolio of syndicated loan agency transactions.
The successful candidate will be based in Madrid and will monitor, administer and control the facility lifecycle events (e.
g. drawdowns, fees, interest payments, repayments, etc.) of the European Loan Agency portfolio in accordance with the terms of the financing agreements.
Support the transaction lifecycle event management of the European Loan Agency portfolio;
Calculation of the amounts to be distributed across borrowers and lenders in accordance with the terms of the facility agreements (e.
g. drawdowns, fees, interest, and principal repayments);
Setting of interest periods and applicable reference interest rates;
Operational communications to borrowers and lenders, under the terms of the financing agreements;
Execution of payment instructions in relation with loan lifecycle events;
Transaction Setup and book-keeping in the Loans Administration system;
Support the strategic technology developments related to the Loan Administration systems;
Support the Loan Servicing reporting process;
Assistance and coordination with the Loan Agency Front office team in Spain;
Provide support and technical advice to junior team members on Loans Administration related matters.
Skills / experience required
3-5 years of experience in the banking or financial sector;
Excellent work attitude, quick and willing learner and proficient team player;
Eagerness to pay attention to detail and going the extra mile in all aspects of the role;
Experience in the administration of Syndicated Loans, ideally in loan agency management). Includes relevant experience in review of financing contracts, ideally knowledge of LMA contracts, calculations of loan settlements, management of participations, etc.
Robust knowledge of the local and international payments mechanics and methodology (SWIFT, Target 2, etc.)
C1 English a must; Advanced use of English, written and spoken.
