Job Summary

If you are looking to further your career in support of the world's finest Navy and enjoy the opportunity to live and work in Rota, Spain, we have a full-time opening to provide program support to the Forward Deployed Regional Maintenance Center (FDRMC).

Essential Responsibilities :

  • Perform as the primary non-technical R200 representative for work integration and collaborate directly with Waterfront Operations Department (R300) Project Managers, TYCOM Representatives / Port Engineers, RMMCO Coordinators, Contractor Project Managers, Contractor and Ship's Force Work Authorization Form (WAF) and Tag-out Coordinators, Assessment Directors, Production Department (R900) Controller, and Engineering Department (R200) Division Heads
  • Perform an array of functions associated with integrating government and contractor work in support of maintenance availabilities
  • Coordinate Rota Code 200 Fleet Technical Assistance (FTA) and Total Ship Readiness Assessment (TSRA) in support of Maintenance Availabilities to include Key Event, Integrated Project Team Development (IPTD) participation, and Work Package Execution Review (WPER) support
  • Integrate Rota Code 200 work, including FTA, assessments, inspections, pre-condition requirements, etc., into the maintenance availability NSI 009-60 Integrated Production Schedule (IPS) required to develop necessary Government Furnished Information (GFI) for submission to the Lead Maintenance Activity (LMA), including identifying and setting predecessor and successor relationships
  • Use Project Management principles and the Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK)
  • Communicate with the stakeholders and report actual and forecasted performance including risk identification as determined by schedule conflicts and space, time, or resource constraints
  • Develop Schedule of Events / Gant Chart maintenance avails to include Key Events (KE) and Milestones (MS), TSRA events, 2M / MTR events, Shipboard Gage Calibration Program (SGCP) training and other RMC provided training events, R200 employee official travel, FTA face-to-face events, local training events, Fleet Maintenance Activity Assessments (FMAA), fire drills, Engineering Technical Authority Evaluations (ETAEs), etc.
  • Track Deviations from Specifications (DFS) in support of maintenance availabilities and Key Event certification
  • Track material required to support Rota Code 200 work
  • Track and identify opportunities to leverage lessons learned from project planning and execution efforts to improve processes, services, and products, and reduce or mitigate risks
  • Minimum Requirements

  • Associates degree and at least ten (10) years of job-related experience or equivalent
  • Excellent communication and analytical skills; working knowledge of computer systems and integrated software application programs
  • Ability to investigate, troubleshoot, and design solutions to problems in operational hardware and software
  • Ability to travel if needed
  • Active U.S. DoD secret clearance
  • U.S. citizenship
  • U.S. Navy Combat Systems knowledge
