Job Description Summary
The Aero Projects Rental Director will develop and operationalize a lean rental framework to enable a wing-to-wing solution for rental assets and rental projects from project COD to the end of the rental term.
The Aero Projects Rental Director will be the primary Customer contact and will manage and administer the rental contracts.
Roles and Responsibilities
Responsible for developing a best-in-class lean rental projects framework in partnership with ITO, Pole and Function teams.
Ensures rental KPIs (technical, strategy, financial, Operating metrics) are in place and driven to target. Drives internal delivery and responsibilities across the organization.
Represent rental projects at external and senior level business meetings, and support business level actions and presentations.
Lead efforts aligned to the business line strategies for Safety, Quality, Delivery & Cost.
Partner with cross functional business leaders, peers, and technical resources to integrate business tools while delivering cost effective solutions for business success.
Lead with a Lean mindset. Leverage Lean in the quest to reduce waste and improve rental KPI’s.
Work in partnership with the Aero ITO personnel to support the ITO team to effectively prepare robust rental proposals that minimize operation and maintenance risk, allowing seamless transition from construction to operation and maintenance.
Collaborate with Functional teams to select and manage the assessment and onboarding of service providers to support project operation and maintenance.
Proactively mitigate project risks in partnership with the Pole teams and global stakeholders.
Navigate and influence Aero HQ functions (e.g., Global Supply Chain, Engineering and others) to ensure engagement and drive major issue resolution early.
Ensure timely capture of lessons learned during operations and maintenance phase to reduce margin erosion and budget variances.
Model and promote good meeting etiquette including clear and timely agendas, pre-read material, and action item documentation with consistent follow up to completion.
Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Business from an accredited university or college.
5 + years experience in complex project management and / or operations and maintenance experience in the power generation energy industry and people leadership and influencing experience.
Willingness and ability to travel internationally up to 25%.
Leads with a Lean mindset and is skilled in applying Lean tools to improving business operations. Specifically Daily Management, Standard Work, and Monthly Operating Reviews based on Bowler / KPIs.
