Position Description

The CHEP Last Mile Solutions team offer products and services with a clear focus on the store. The team is in charge to support our markets offering effective solutions to customers that will help them to increase sales and reduce costs.

The Last Mile is the point within the supply chain that physically connects the product with the shopper. It is the point at which influence of the purchasing decision has peak impact and products, services or consumer experiences are competing for the most attention.

Here, all the efforts of the supply chain and all of the revenue expectations can materialize, the moment the shopper chooses the product -

it is the moment of truth! .

In this space the team focuses on :

  • How to deliver consumer goods to the store : Driving supply chain and store operations efficiencies.
  • How to display consumer goods in store : Increasing the store and the product capabilities for final display.
  • To help customers to increase revenue and margin.
  • Major / Key Accountabilities :

    The key position purpose is to support Countries on developing and implementing LMS strategy, and providing expertise in shopper understanding to position CHEP as expert in the Last Mile.

  • This position will consist on supporting the countries to achieve the full LMS potential business, including : LMS strategy, value proposition and sales pitch.
  • LMS process & methodologies, Catman (Category management), Commercial dynamics training.Market and Supply Chain research & solutions : Catman segmentation data analysis / Manufacturer and retailer cost analysis.

    Sales tools innovation, Virtual & Augmented reality, LMS Marketing contents & Case studies.

  • The person in the role will support the positioning of CHEP countries as expert in LMS Strategy. Generate credibility in category and shopper management with customers based in an end to end perspective.
  • Generate customer satisfaction and engagement.

  • The role will work closely with : Internal LMS Environment :
  • LMS Managers, Commercial and Retail teams, EKA, Marketing, Finance and Supply Chain. Local and Central teams.

  • External LMS Environment :
  • Retailers, Manufacturers, Copackers, Packaging Companies, Market research consultants, Marketing agencies, Innovation & Digital Startups : Virtual & Augmented reality, Apps and Software developers;
  • Laboratories and Business Schools,

    Experience Required :

  • Experience of working within a retailer and or manufacturer essential.
  • Category management / Shopper marketing / Trade marketing / Project Management.
  • Up-to-date knowledge of digital marketing tools and trends.
  • Delivering in an autonomous environment.
  • Qualifications

    Business / Marketing / LEAN or project management related degree.

  • Other European language is desirable.
