We are currently looking to recruit for the Lean Execution Support Lead role for our Regional / Global Services division, based in any of our Services sites across the world.
YOUR CHALLANGE Based upon the strategic objectives of Bombardier Transportation (BT) and Global Services, you would be working closely with Regional, Portfolio and Project Leads in order to plan, map, recommend drive, implement and govern standard business practices, mechanisms and initiatives designed to establish a systematic approach to how we deliver Services throughout the world.
As part of this global standardisation the intent is to deliver world class safety, increase our competitiveness, significantly increase our market share, reduce operating costs, maximize potential backlog opportunities, and support the overall collaborative efforts of BT's value chain.
You will be responsible for developing and managing formal capabilities that allow for the scheduled measuring, monitoring and drill down of a Region, Portfolio and or Project's performance against pre-
defined key targets and compliance to critical business processes. You will review and ensure the application and identification of best practice and that regional business plans are robust, on-
track and delivering the expected performance improvement either Operationally, Financially or in relation to Ecosystem growth enhancement.
As part of the Governance Process you will use the pre-determined Business Diagnostic triggers to review with Portfolio leads and understand if 1.
The Business Diagnostic plan is on schedule and to standard 2. If a Business Diagnostic is required based on standard triggers and / or criteria.
3. Support and manage f / u activities from any diagnostic efforts. In liaison with the wider Global Services, you will overlook the sharing of best practices or findings;
working closely with the Global Services Technologies & Digitization team, you will ensure the region has all information required to 'sell', apply and understand the scope of services BT can provide to our customers.
As the Lean Execution Support Lead, you will be expected to work independently but also as part of the Global Services team, at all levels of the organization, to identify, develop & execute integrated activities, plans and supporting management processes / procedures.
You will be expected to mentor, educate and coach within the business at various levels the purpose and value of governance and business planning.
Travelling across different Services sites could tak eup to 50% of your time. YOUR TASKS Governance & Compliance.
Work closely with the Services functional leads to identify how we incorporate product offerings into our strategic initiatives that add value and increases our market share / penetration.
Drive big picture strategies that define, deliver and expand our global footprint.
Develop, with the Portfolio leads the agreed Business Diagnostic plan, confirm adherence on a monthly basis and highlight any addition Diagnostic requirements based on pre-determined triggers.
Analyse key metrics, reporting cycles and processes to understand business variations, issues and help drive growth
Take part in the Global team strategy planning and provide research / input on all aspects of the business as required
Implement and manage a structured governance approach to monitor and measure the performance of the business at defined frequencies.
Drive policy deployment, transformation and governance into the Region focused on Processes, People, Performance.
Manage / drive Business Planning regionally and the tracking and delivery of Global Services initiatives within the region Standardisation
Support operational performance and revenue growth including project visual management, LEAN / CI and Standardized Mobilization from Global best practices.
Drive the standardization of maintenance processes and tools and confirm implementation for new and existing projects.
Standardize the concept of Cross functional reporting with Strategic Evolution across the business region
Support, Coach and review global standardization of practices, commercial / performance visual management
Sharing of best practice for CI robust and sustainable implementation.
Recommending, supporting and or implementing strategies that drive standardisation, transformation, optimise our effectiveness, our revenue opportunities, market penetration and market share. Bids Support and Enhancement
Support Global Bids and Global Sales teams to develop Service's strategy, products and offerings across the region. Including but not limited to vehicle maintenance, operations, infrastructure maintenance
Support Global Bids team to ensure any bid is fully optimized and competitive with stretch deliverables for the execution teams.
Identify, explore, evaluate and support opportunities to reduce Services operating cost, our overall labour footprint, our efficiency and effectiveness in the overall best interest of BT.
You possess a very strong knowledge of Continuous Improvement / Lean methodology and can apply said knowledge to a complex business.
You have a very good understanding of maintenance / services technicalities in an industrial sector - rail is preferred, but not mandatory.
You possess strong analytical mindset and are very good at taking and implementing decisions.
You have a good ability to work on multiple projects at any given time and to process a lot of information in a short space of time.
You are at ease with communicating across a wide group of audiences - engineering communities, customers (internal & external), senior management and influencing them when need be.
You possess the ability to coach people at various levels.
Fluency in English is a must.
