We are looking for a talented and pragmatic Technical Leader to be part of our dynamic Innovation global Centre located in Barcelona.
The Technical Leader as a key member of the Innovation Department is responsible for the project management and coordination of the technical part of the product innovation process.
Will have a strong technical background, solid understanding of company technical know-how and the ability of integrating external technologies inside innovation process.
This individual must apply his strong electromechanical engineering background, and good business sense to directing the product technical development.
but also, Customer Technical Managers, and Marketing key stakeholders. The successful candidate is a team player with a strong technical background.
Responsibilities & duties Technical Leadership and co-ordination.Develops product functionality and features.Closely work with customers to fix technical specifications.
Costing estimation and project scheduling.Monitors building of engineering prototype for testing and product approval.Facilitates communication to ensure that the innovation team has all the relevant questions answers and roadblocks cleared.
Cooperate in patent filing and searching.Participates in generation of new concepts.Initiate, develop, and effectively manage the relationships with the technology provider companies, through setting common interest and goals.
Requisites Degree or above in Engineering. Electromechanical engineering or equivalentAt least 5 years working experience in small appliances development (electronic gadgets, toys, household, power tools, audio systems, etc.
Specialised technical knowledge.Languages : excellent command of the English language is essential.EU Citizenship or permanent residency required.
Key competencies Project Management.Experience in design and / or manufacturing processes for plastic components and electromechanical assemblies.
Ideally with small appliances.Experience with FMCG s companies is preferred, especially on low-cost / high volume products.
Strong technical communication skills and the ability to communicate with non- technical staff.Well organized, dynamic, and able to multitask and change focus quickly when required.
Works efficiently with minimum supervision and operates independently on assignments.Self-motivated : pursues knowledge acquisition and skill enhancement opportunities.
