Role and Responsibilities
This is an Inside Sales role, responsible for VMware Technical Consulting Professional Services sales. The candidate must enjoy working with leading edge technology and being an intrinsic part of a fantastic team and will have the following responsibilities :
Working with a team of high-performing Professional Service Client Solution Executives (CSE), the Inside Client Solution Executive (iCSE) provides proactive selling of Professional Services and is tasked with active customer engagement and negotiation.
Full pipeline ownership and deal segment ownership within the iCSE space.
Develop and maintain competency and expertise of VMware products and consulting services.
Qualify all new leads (from pre-sales and territory teams) to understand the full scope of the customer’s requirements, the sizing of potential deals and re-
assignment to field colleagues when workflow guidelines so dictate.
Developing new, tailored Statements of Work based on VMware’s product and service methodologies as well as a keen appreciation of customer needs.
Provide input into, and implement Professional Services sales campaigns and initiatives per product and territory.
Work with and support the VMware inside and field sales teams from a Professional Services Inside Sales perspective.
Required skills and personal qualities :
Business and / or IT degree or equivalent experience / certification.
Fluent English is required.
Proficiency in a second Central European language, is desirable.
A high level of energy and enthusiasm with a desire to fully engage with the broad range of VMware structures and systems.
Multiple years’ experience in Inside or field Sales.
Track record in actively driving sales amongst large corporate accounts through remote management.
Strong documentation skills.
Strong Windows operating system experience as well as good network and storage knowledge.
Excellent communications and interpersonal skills.
Excellent presentation skills and a strong ability to lead remote customer / partner enablement / sales sessions (WebEx).
Solid knowledge of VMware and datacenter / cloud ecosystem products and project lifecycle.
Desirable experience and qualifications :
Experience writing SOW’s, scoping projects and LOE estimates.
Industry certifications from VMware and other vendors such as EMC, Citrix, Microsoft, NetApp and Cisco are desirable.
Experience of scoping, selling or delivering projects including :
o Server virtualization
o Capacity / performance management and tuning
o Server refresh
o Cloud automation and orchestration
