The Opportunity

The Open Text ODM division, the world’s leading fax, secure messaging and cloud based solution provider, is hiring an Account Executive to drive sales efforts across The Mediterranean countries.

The Southern Region team consists of a small group of sales executives across a number of geographies (to include : France, The Mediterranean countries and Northern Africa (above the equator).

This position is based in Madrid, Spain, and reports to the Sales Director, Southern Region, On-Demand Messaging within the ODM - On Demand Messaging business unit.

You are great at :

  • Consultative selling and intensely listening to your customers
  • Preparing comprehensive territory plans
  • Identifying and converting opportunities into sales
  • Skillfully executing each phase of the sales process from pipeline generation to closing the deal
  • Masterful client presentations and running effective meetings
  • Clearly articulating the value proposition of solutions and products and the endless possibilities of the digital enterprise to your customers
  • Collaboration across all internal teams and resources to ensure you bring the best solution to your clients
  • What it takes :

  • At least ten years business development and sales experience in appropriate software related industry. Fax and messaging server knowledge and industry expertise is preferred but not essential.
  • An understanding of business processes, business automation and the document and information distribution challenges that organizations face is required.
  • Successful history of achieving sales through a partner channel as well as winning direct and indirect enterprise sales.
  • Understanding of strategic selling and consultative selling processes, including demonstrated success participating and succeeding in strategic selling and consultative sales environments.
  • Experience in engaging, signing and ramping new channel partners across
  • various horizontal and vertical markets to gain net new revenue is an advantage
  • Willingness to travel- approx 25% of your time.
