Standardized and scalable processes will allow to the company to move quicker, supporting the corporate strategy to be one of the fastest transformers in the industry.

The OTC Process Senior Accountant is aimed to be a key contributor for this journey, streamlining the current processes through analysis and automation, driving harmonization across the regions, and supporting the implementation of new business models, products, and services.

OTC Process Senior Accountant belongs to Global Front Office organization (GFO) based in Madrid, being part of Global Delivery Organization, within Global Finance Operations function.

Global Delivery Organization is driving and delivering finance operations for PTP, OTC and GAR accounting areas for more than 100 entities and different business units around the world.

What You'll Do

In the role as OTC Process Senior Accountant the main responsibilites can be divided into four main area but not limited to :

  • Process Harmonization
  • Process Improvement
  • Process Management
  • Implementation Of New Businesses And Products
  • In the Process Harmonization area you will need to understand the current AS IS processes, market specifications and exceptions.

    Challenge the status quo, drive local specifications towards a Global Blue-Print. Propose alternatives to overcome local gaps and move towards the standard and harmonize process for TO BE processes.

    Plan and coordinate with relevant stakeholders and implement transformation initiative. Furthermore, you need to support and provide ideas and feedback to OTC expert in the different initiatives on OTC scope during the year.

    In the area of Process Improvement you will be supporting FO OTC Country Responsible to detect challenges, pain points and their root causes, identifying improvement opportunites and implementing them.

    As well as actively driving and assessing process areas which would be benefit from Robotics, Digitalization and Process automation.

    You will be the SPOC for Intelligent Process Automation. In addition to this, you will be identifying key metrics to measure process performance and evaluate the impact of the improvements implemented.

    You will alsp prepare formal requirements to IT / Digital finance, securing proper understanding from their side, defining acceptance criteria and assuring UAT execution and approval.

    In regards to Process Management, you will keep track of legislation, trends, latest news, and external benchmark to ensure that the processes are "best in class".

    Focus on quality, standardization and efficiency. Ensuring compiance with current global principles, standards, and frameworks.

    Maintain strong follow up of Key controls from internal control and ensure compliance with company’s policies & procedures.

    Developing relationsships with other teams in and out of the finance function, such as Accounting, Legal, Tax, Manufacturing, Sales and other stakeholders to provide transparency, consistency and alignment regarding offer-to-cash processes as well as consistently enhance the overall quality of the process.

    Assuring that the proper documentation to understand and execute the diffrent process is in place. As well as providing accounting advice within the area of responsibility.

    Lastly, in the area of new business and products you will be supporting definition of efficient and scalable processes that support the business defined by Central HQ, assuring that operational requirements are considered from the very beginning.

    Collecting requirements and the translation to IT / Digital finance in formal request. Testing scenarios definition and execution in coordination with operations, project team and / or business.

    As well as delivering trainings related to new business / products to FO Organization to assure correct understanding and operational excellence once implementation is done

    Who are you?

    We believe that you have a university degree in Business Administration or equivalent. You have solid experience in finance and at least 8 years of accounting experience.

    Knowledgeble in finance processes and policies in general, and you have the ability to fully implement these in the day to day operations.

    Knowledgeble in IFRS and local GAAP.

    You are an experienced global team player, working effectivly in a multinational team with collagues based in diffrent locations and business functions.

    You are fluent in English, both written and verbally. You are strongly process oriented, with good analytical skills and willing to get the E2E vision of the different businesses.

    Furthermore, we see that you are familiar with six sigma / lean / process excellence methodology and a continous improvement mindset.

    By using indirect leadership, you can influence without authority.

    We see that you have excellent communication skills, and that you are able to interact with all levels across the organization.

    You have the ability to work and feel comfortable in a dynamic, ambiguous, and complex environment in continuous evolution, capable to quickly adapt to the changes and modifying priorities accordingly, while always delivering results according to agreed deadlines.

    You are outstandingly resilient, and able to manage high level of frustration. You are also capable of running several parallel initiatives and projects.

    Furthermore, in this role you'll need excellent stakeholder management. We believe that you have a high tolerance to stress and manage peaks of pressure based on tight project deadlines.

    As well as being curious and eager to learn. You'll need to work independently. We also see that you have a understand, and can be understood by your fellow IT collagues.

    If you can speak Swedish that is advantageous.
