We are currently looking for a Marketing & Events Executive to join our rapidly expanding global team. Based in our Aravaca club in Madrid, the Marketing & Events Executive will be involved in all aspects of marketing with a specific focus on coordinating David Lloyd Aravaca relationships in the local area and managing events to help build our brand awareness and generate enquiries.
The ideal candidate will have a broad range of marketing skills with specific experience in event management having successfully coordinated different types of events as well as public relations and media.
The successful candidate will work closely with the Head of Marketing, General Manager and sales team to help ensure the business meets and exceeds its strategic growth objectives.
Responsibilities : Work with key stakeholders to develop and oversee the monthly events calendar. Responsibility for the whole external events process -
from pre-event planning, promotion through to post event follow up. Support the sales team with building relationships with local organisations Develop partnerships with local schools / businesses / charities Own Acquisition Outreach to help generate enquiries & brand awareness Public Relations -
from activities in club, activation opportunities to influencer identification. Media - build local relationships with local media, identify potential marketing opportunities as well as support media agency with organic social content.
Work with the head of marketing to support wider marketing plan Ensure consistency of brand across all activities. Translation of marketing materials Manage in club emails & text messages Ad-
hoc marketing duties - liaising with printers, copywriters and designers where required. Skills & Expertise Relevant event marketing experience (event marketing, conferences and sponsorships, etc.
Basic understanding of marketing principles Good English speaking & writing is essential Have excellent interpersonal skills, and ability to communicate and present well at all levels of the company.
Ability to comfortably write and edit social content across channels such as LinkedIn, Instagram, Twitter and Facebook Proactive and independent worker, who also is a team player that can build strong relationships with stakeholders 4 years’ experience in marketing and events.
