Context and Challenges
Sanofi ITS organization is going through a transformation towards Service organization to drive Business Value at lower cost.
versus being a Technology centric organization.
Reasons behind this transformation are :
Since 2000 demand for new IT solutions is growing faster and faster (consumerization, IoT, Big data );
This increase of number of IT solutions is generating increasing operating costs (Run);
With a defined and limited budget for Run + Build there is a need to manage ITS Services in a better way ;
Managing ITS activities in Service mode helps to free Run cost and to deliver best value for our customers .
Desired outcomes of this internal transformation can be summarized in three building blocks :
Cost DownOptimize service deliveryEliminate non-value add activitiesAlign spending with value
Usage Up : Market the value of servicesImprove services to provide more valueMeasure& Analyze consumption
Satisfaction Up : Drive for business valueMeasure & Manage customer satisfactionBenchmark services
At the same time, Sanofi strategic direction is currently to harmonize and standardize practices and simplify the organization to foster a new One Sanofi way .
This represents a strategic opportunity for a Global SC & IA Transformation through the SCCore Program to :
Design standardized E2E processes to generate business value for the Group and deliver best in class collaborative solutions to our Customers;
Deliver innovative state of the art tools enabling Supply Chain as a Global Function;
Secure SC functionalities in SHIFT program and ensure consistency of business and IT architecture.
The SCCore Program covers Business end-state and IS solutions for the Supply Chain & Industrial area, and is articulated with SHIFT Program, Athena Program and soon with iERP program
This program is structured around key transverse topics and 5 main streams :
Transverse : Business & IT Architecture, Roadmap design and value case, PMO, Change Management and Master Data Management;
5 main streams : SC Planning, Distribution (transport & warehousing), Customer service, Manufacturing and Analytics / BI.
