Electronic Commodity Buyer
Mission :
Offer an efficient and effective Purchasing service to the entire organization, searching for, developing, selecting and managing the best in class Suppliers for electronic components, in terms of Quality, Service, Price and Innovation.
Functions / Tasks :
Select suppliers of electronic components for the families under their responsibility.
Evaluate / analyse offers and recommend supply options.
Investigate and propose alternative technical options for components identified, evaluating the economic impact in each case.
Negotiate price changes with suppliers.
Maintain SAP up to date.
Develop an efficient supply base for these commodities, searching for and validating alternative Supply options, in co-ordination with Engineering, Quality, etc.
Carry out market studies to ensure the maximum competitiveness of current purchasing levels.
Interchange of information and co-ordination with other buyers of electronic components in the rest of the world.
Give support to Project Teams, Commercial Department and Factories in all issues relating to deliveries and suppliers.
Provide up to date information to Costing Department, assisting in the preparation of new offers.
Keep the Purchasing Department informed of relevant issues pertaining to suppliers of electronic commodities as well as market tendencies.
Create, develop and follow Action Plans in order to ensure continuous improvement.
Coordinate with the Logistic Departments, both at corporate and plant level, in order to avoid ruptures in the supply chain and support them in component import issues when necessary (documentation, etc).
Academic Education :
University Degree (Electronic Engineering).
Languages :
English and Spanish : High level.
Others :
Advanced user : Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and Power Point) and SAP
Technical knowledge of electronics from previous experience.
Professional Experience : 5 years
Purchasing experience in electronics and / or automotive sector.
Personal skills :
Person with communication skills and proactivity.
High negotiating capacity.
Availability to travel nationally and internationally.
