Quality Assurance Executive

This is a great opportunity to get in on the ground floor of a successful and growing language services provider. Our quality assurance executives play a vital role in ensure quality across GlobaLexicon.

Positions are available in Seville.

Typical Roles & Responsibilities :

QA project materials as per the company’s market sectors including, market research, healthcare & pharma, training & learning, manufacturing & engineering, consumer & retail.

Completion of market research specific tasks such as overlays, link checking, coding and transcription, as required

Flexibility to complete additional tasks, such as QA recruitment, project administration, as required

Ensure project deadlines are met and where possible exceeded

Flexibility when a need arises due to project specific exceptional circumstances or urgent requests from key clients

Help team members maintain a high level of quality and professional and ethical standards

Support implementation of ISO 9001 related procedures and pro-actively offer feedback where improvements could be made

Support in team meetings, training sessions and mentoring of junior QAers and interns

Skills & Experience :

BA or MA, preferably in translation

Fluent in English one other European language

At least 1 year of proven experience in a professional environment, ideally QA

Exceptional attention to detail

Ability to QA around 1,200-2,000 words per hour, according to the file complexity

Methodical use of reference material

Working knowledge of translation memory tools

Expert in MS Office Applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)

Experience of QAing various file formats (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, XML)

Understanding of HTML and piping code / logic

Ability to focus and to consistently perform QA related tasks efficiently and to a high standard

Excellent time management and organisational skills

Strong written and oral communication skills

Ability to multitask and to adapt to new challenges

Ability to support and motivate team members (including other QAers and interns)

Ability to remain positive and calm under pressure
