We’re looking for an enthusiastic, bright, motivated, energetic, ambitious, analytical, persuasive, detail focus and results-driven Sales Manager that lives up to company culture and values  to help us continue establishing the Flywire brand in certain European countries; such as France, The Netherlands, Luxembourg and Switzerland and others. This is an amazing opportunity for an extraordinary and talented sales professional to introduce and promote a unique and highly successful payment platform to the european education market. This position requires the candidate to reside in beautiful and vibrant Valencia, Spain*.

The right candidate must display passion about helping educational institutions to enhance the lives of students. A digital “knowmad” that wants to be part of a company that is revolutionizing the future of payments.  The Sales Manager reporting directly to the Mainland Europe Sales Manager will be responsible for helping to design and execute an extremely ambitious sales plan in the assigned area. The SM will be responsible for exceeding customer acquisition and revenue targets. An Out-of-the-box thinker that is passionate about providing innovative payment solutions to top notch educational institutions. This person enjoys working as part of a team with other extremely talented colleagues from all over the world.

The French Speaking Sales Manager loves interacting with people, is extremely well versed on Flywire’s products and knows how to transmit Flywire’s value proposition to prospective customers. The SM masters the art of unveiling customer needs with a smile and an exquisite business etiquette. An extremely social person with a consultative approach that cares about the needs of our educational clients, establishes, develops and maintains a  positive attitude toward our clients. A person that not only sells products but creates solid business relationships with the educational institutions. Agile, disruptive, innovative, consultative  and digital are some of the words that describe your approach to sales.

Qualifications

The Opportunity:

  • Design, implement and execute a strategic sales plan to grow the number of educational institutions that use our services in the assigned area. Increase brand awareness and recognition, networks at a local and international level to identify new business opportunities within the education sector. Mapping business opportunities by sectors, relevance, revenue and business potential. Identifies new business opportunities, market swifts and competitor landscape. Builds and maintains strong long-lasting relationships with customers. 

  • Present, promote and sell complex financial products and services to educational institutions in the assigned area using solid and convincing arguments to existing and prospective customers. Comfortable with cold calling, email campaigns and social media selling. The right candidate is a great communicator and has excellent etiquette, people skills, fosters diversity and prides on making a great impression to our clients. Provides expertise, listens and proposes payment solutions that meet customer needs with expert negotiation skills. Is able to travel on short notice to visit prospects and clients,  attend conferences, trade shows or company training as needed. Will work to become the most recognized, influential and knowledgeable person in the education payment industry in the  targeted countries. 

  • Achieve growth and exceed sales targets and revenue goals.  A Great team player that is committed to achieve common department goals. Tracks, analyses and develops sales plans using sales team metrics to help us to be ahead of economic indicators and industry trends. The right candidate will see opportunities where others see obstacles. Working with tight deadlines is not a problem for the new SM.

  • Works cross functionally with team mates from other departments such as Compliance, Account Management, Finance,  Marketing or Product to make sure customer needs are met. We expect the SM is tech savvy to understand and explain complex product integrations. Establishes connections within the french speaking Higher Education Community - associations, public sector and  other educational organizations and groups.

  • The SM will  temporarily / sort team serve as the first point of contact with the educational institution to assist them with the account activation process . This includes but is not limited to; staff training, payment portal creation, assistance with integrations and ensuring the client is up and running and performing within agreed time frame.

Here’s What We’re Looking For:

  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in Sales management. Experience in Higher Education, Payments, Banking & Finance, and/or FinTech Platforms preferred. Proven ability to complete the sales process from plan to close consistently meeting and exceeding sales targets.  Successful experience building a territory from little or nothing. Skilled rapport builder, not afraid of challenges that knows how to get the attention of senior level decision makers.  Legal or financial experience working for international financial companies is desirable. International experience living abroad will be taken into consideration. 

  • Strong understanding of sales, marketing, project management and promotion standards. The SM must possess exceptional research, analytical and interpersonal skills.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills in French (Native  preferred) and English (Fluent). Oral and written fluency will be tested. Other languages such as German, highly desirable.
  • Advanced problem solving and project management skills with attention to detail, time management and analytical skills. Familiar with Cloud Business applications including Salesforce, Slack, Google and Looker a plus.

  • BS/BA in Business, Communication, or Marketing (preferably)

  •  Extremely proficient in CRM programs - Salesforce preferred.

  •  High-level proficiency with MS Office programs.

  • Social Media Sales channels expertise - LinkedIn Sales Navigator.

Our Hiring Process:

We are excited to get to know you! Throughout our process you can expect 4-5 rounds of interviews with different FlyMates including the Hiring Manager, Peers on the team, the VP of the department, and a homework assignment (it is not that bad!). Your TA Partner will walk you through the steps and be your “go-to” person for any questions.
