To enable Energy Systems to achieve its strategic ambitions and become future fit, we need leaders who drive business operations to meet customers’ expectations while also continuously improving the way we work.

The new organization we defined is based on two main dimensions : Customer focus around our Key Accounts and Markets, and strong Regional Service Areas.

DNV’s Renewables Advisory group, region SEMELA (Souther Europe, Middle East, LatAm & Africa) is therefore seeking a Team Leader - Wind Turbine Specialists to join our Wind Turbine Technology team.

It is preferred that this position be based out of our Zaragoza, Spain office, but other DNV Renewables Advisory locations in Spain will be considered.

The Team Leader optimizes business operations and improve the long-term performance of the team. They work closely on commercial opportunities to strengthen and expand business, including driving the doer / seller culture.

They direct service line activities and drives technical competence development within the team aligned with Energy Systems strategy.

The Team Leader has a strong focus on delivery and utilization, gains efficiency within the team. They partner with KAMs, and Segment Leads in delivering an excellent customer experience while stimulating collaboration within their section / team as well across the organization.

They must strive for a high performing collaborative culture and exceptional employee experience.

Primary tasks of this role :

  • Ensures an efficient & consistent delivery of services in line with customer expectations.
  • Optimizes business performance through delivery management, cost-efficient business operations, improvement of the utilization rate and an aligned workforce plan.
  • Empowers employees and encourages employability and individual growth.
  • Creates a flexible workforce and automates workflows to deal with variable workload.
  • Builds and strengthens a strong internal culture based on company’s values.
  • Supports the Head of Section Wind Technology in strategy and decision making.
  • Stimulates a high performing culture, sets direction, is output driven and act as a role model for an inspiring employee experience.
  • Ensures that employees have the required technical competences and owns the pipeline for technical talent.
  • Promotes team capabilities internally and externally.
  • Actively collaborates with Service Area Leaders and corresponding role (s) in other business lines to evolve the service portfolio and capture customer opportunities.
  • Owns talent pipeline and development of technical talent / future needed capabilities.
  • Position Qualifications

  • Mechanical or Electrical Engineering degree, or equivalent
  • Several years’ experience of managing a technical team, with the proven ability of developing a high-performance culture in a fast-paced changing complex and ambiguous environment.
  • Proven leadership skills to engage, develop and motivate employees.
  • Exceptional commercial awareness, good understanding of the market drivers and challenges (market foresight), and proven business development ability within this sector.
  • Personal Qualities :

  • Communicate effectively, is pragmatic, builds strong relationships and can influence.
  • Hold strong leadership skills and ability to engage, develop and motivate own employees.
  • Ability to create trust through robust delivery and strong relationship building.
