Job purpose

  • The primary responsibility of this role is to support procurement, project, GC, and nominated suppliers and direct vendors for office fit-out construction projects;
  • the role will be critical in shaping how we engage suppliers and general contractors to supply and / or install construction materials and construction-related services for opening new and refurbishing existing centers.

    Success is measured in reduced total fit out cost for new centers with faster timeline and improved customer perception and quality.

    Candidates can be based either in Barcelona or London.


  • Lead the bidding for all new centers opening and all refurbishment works in the Americas
  • Participate actively throughout the whole RFP and bid process including cost analysis, technical interviews, cost negotiation and contract award
  • Develop standard bid template across all of IWG brands
  • Support in budget development, payment requisition and final project closeout payments
  • Refining sourcing / bidding strategies for all supplies in the value chain from centers design, fit-out to project opening, refurb and closure
  • Design, implement and oversee successful commercial and operational collaboration between designers, general contractors, nominated materials suppliers, fit-out contractors and internal project management teams.
  • Contributing to optimizing our design-bid-build engine and similar fit-out engagement models
  • Ownership and management of the construction spend categories
  • Build trust-based and solid relationships with relevant stakeholders to secure an aligned approach and methodology
  • Skills and experience

  • Certificate / Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction or relevant disciplines (Advantage only but not a must)
  • Strong knowledge in procurement construction, construction process as well as construction materials
  • Strong Experience in bidding and process
  • Minimum 7-10 years’ experience in construction-related industry
  • Significant experience in sourcing of office fit-out materials and services or equivalent exposure to office fit out construction work
  • Significant experience in construction bid software (ProCore, PMWeb, Kahua and others) an advantage
  • Capable of performing in an entrepreneurial environment with a healthy degree of uncertainty
  • Is comfortable in running complex projects in hands-on fashion with some but limited possibility to delegate / distribute
  • Excellent skills in finding creative and unconventional ways to rapidly solve a supply problem and in designing, communicating and executing an action path towards a solution
  • Ability to articulate problems and solve them.
  • Good analytical skills with figures
  • Knowledge in understanding contract laws and forms of contracts
  • Good command of written and spoken English
