The Data Manager Reports into the Chief Data Office of IWM division and Spain and the mandate is to :
Establish and run the Data Management function according to internal policies and within the IWM divisional framework, on behalf of the CDO of IWM Spain.
Ensure Data Integrity for the critical data elements in IWM Spain and compliance with applicable data protection regulations, within Group Data Protection framework.
Define a control framework that contributes to continuous improvements of Data Quality in IWM Spain.
The role requires to interface with the management, the front office, shared services and various Group functions at local and international level.

Identify corporate data that must be included into the data perimeter under government, and define the data domains map (different types of data, e.
g. customers, shared relationships, accounts, products, credits, transactions, payments, commissions).
Maintain necessary inventories to manage data (Business Glossary, Data Dictionary, Data Lineage, Data Quality Issues).
Work in conjunction with the technology, business units and DPOR to identify data owners, maintain an updated registry of processes, and assess data gaps and drive implementation of the necessary process adjustments.
Help local CDO to establish the Data Governance Model (Data Committee, Control Framework) in collaboration with the different data owners, to ensure Data Quality based in accuracy, completeness, integrity, clarity, usefulness and distribution.
Roll-out necessary tools, methodologies and procedures to manage the data landscape, control data quality, identify and solve data issues, address change requests, improve operational efficiency and facilitate innovation.
Define, in collaboration with LISO and DPOR, the minimum standards and security measures that should be present in systems and procedures for the adequate management of data, and supervise its implementation, execution and compliance.
Translate them into measurable Data Quality KPIs.
Define, jointly with LISO, the access permission plan and ensure provision of data to only authorized users.
Define, in collaboration with DPOR and 1st and 2nd line of defense areas, the proper control framework to monitor Data Quality and Data Privacy, and the relevant KRIs.
Assess periodically, jointly with 1st & 2nd line of defense areas and data owners, the results of the Data Quality KPIs and KRIs in Data Quality Scorecard.
Periodically reporting to local CDO and relevant Committees.
Ensure all Regulatory and Business Change Initiatives comply with the data minimum standards and security measures when designing new / updated processes in the Business Requirements Document of every Project.
Partner with IT and data architects to ensure data requirements and controls are considered in every solution design. In collaboration with these areas, promote data solutions that maintain focus in Operational Efficiency, Data Insight and future Innovation and Digitalization initiatives.
On-going challenge of the current security measures and preventive and detective controls, every time a data incident occurs.
Collaborate with LISO and DPOR when data breaches reports to Regulators are required and ensure proper escalation to local CDO.
Ensure, in coordination with Business Support and data owners, the proper data framework is established to guarantee data quality and consistency in the reports to Regulators and Third parties.
Ensure, in coordination with Business Support and data owners, the proper data quality in the communications with Customers (e.
g. account statements, operation confirmations, performance warnings).
Shared Relationships Data Coordinator role.
Help local CDO to maintain IWM Spain legal entities presence in the Relevant Data Forums (e.g. AEB Data Committee, AEB Cloud Working Group, Spain Annual Data Privacy Forum).
University degree, ideally in computer engineering, business administration would be a plus.
Minimum of 10 years of banking experience, preferably in Data Management and / or Consulting.
Experience in the implementation of a Data Management framework (architecture, governance, artefacts).
Experience in data engineering (architecture, modelling, analysis, design) and data management tools (business objects modelling, data lineage, data quality tools).
Knowledge of data protection and privacy regulation (EU and Spain rules, in particular) and best practices and appreciation of the demands of the organization in handling such legislation.
Good understanding of the value chain of a Private Bank and business drivers that impact data processing, with the interest and ability to deep dive into details.
Experience in Business process design and Data lineage.
Experience in Project Management, Operational Excellence, Agile Methodologies.
Experience in drive change in an organization, across functions and locations, business and IT, end to end.
Experience in Data Analytics / Business Intelligence would be an additional advantage.
Experience in Digitalization solutions would be a plus.
Excellent communication skills, ability to develop and handle a professional stakeholder networking.
Strong analytical and conceptual skills and a structured, solution oriented approach, focus on internal and external clients’ needs.
