Overall Purpose and Objective

IGT is looking for a Programme Manager to run a programme of technology projects within IGT’s lottery business, working closely with one of our Lottery customers. Projects typically comprise software enhancements or maintenance activities from requirements gathering through to production deployment, utilizing diverse geographical and cultural teams. Some international travel will be required.

Plans and manages the implementation of a programme of projects including scope, schedule, budget, quality, process, team, customer, and issues/risks management.

Programme Duties and Responsibilities

  • Manage the overall scope, schedule, budget and quality of a programme of projects within a single country account or across multiple country accounts
  • Present programme status to senior management on a monthly basis
  • Assist in strategic planning for customer accounts and budget creation with the ability to determine what is missing/should be included
  • Supports bid process & contract negotiations
  • Flexibility to run a programme of projects, supporting junior project managers, or manage projects individually, as required

Project Duties and Responsibilities

  • Deliver individual IT projects based on predefined process and strategy
  • Act as a primary interface between IGT and the customer project manager
  • Define scope of effort required to meet project objectives
  • Define activities, sequences of events, dependencies and duration of tasks required to complete the project
  • Manage resources and materials committed to the project
  • Facilitate team building and communication
  • Provide direction and decision making for problem resolution
  • Implement corporate operating procedures including communication, documentation, quality, and change control processes
  • Coordinate, approve and track all project related expenses including all hours, materials and services
  • Assess and manage risk of strategic, technical, financial, political and/or business factors facing the project
  • Coordinate across all corporate departments and disciplines to ensure timely and quality deliverables to the project
  • Coordinate all project matters and monitor on a daily basis; assign/delegate tasks as appropriate
  • Report progress in writing on a weekly basis both internally and to the customer
  • Identify internal and external factors jeopardizing the project, escalate issues and recommend solutions to senior management
  • Analyze, review, forecast and report project spending
  • Coordinate post project review with a view to improve future projects performance

Skill and Competencies

  • Solid IT programme and project management experience with a proven track record of delivering both programmes and individual projects with a high degree of complexity
  • External customer facing skills; strong written & verbal communication skills
  • Commercially aware with strong understanding of change in a business environment
  • Experience of managing multi-functional, multi-cultural virtual teams
  • Excellent leadership skills and team focus
  • Demonstrated financial accountability up to $5m a year
  • Must have managed at least one complex project (6+ months / $1m+ budget / 10+ team members / 15K+ man hours) as well as multiple smaller, less complex projects in parallel
  • Sound understanding of project and quality management methodologies (e.g. Prince 2, PMP, CMMI) and application development methodologies (e.g. Waterfall / Agile / Iterative / Hybrid development)
  • Ability to assist in defining and implementing process improvements for project management
  • Must have intermediate to advanced proficiency using MS Project and MS Office.
  • Fluent French speaker is mandatory.


  • 2 – 3 Years Project / Program Management experience
  • Program Management experience must be in a direct, customer facing role
  • Previous roles must have included initial customer engagement activities, RFP response, Business Case production, etc.
  • Above all else a delivery track record, in a customer facing environment
