Mission Générale

Reporting to the Director of the Southern Europe Zone, the Managing Director is responsible for creating the Spanish subsidiary of Hermès Parfum & Beauté and managing the Portuguese distributor by implementing the strategic plans of the activity on the perimeter concerned.

He / she accompanies the development of the activity and teams in perfect coherence with the project of the House.

Context

The Iberica zone includes two countries : Spain and Portugal.

Spain is the 4th largest market in Europe. The performance of Hermès Parfums & Beauté in Spain is far above the performance of the market.

Portugal is a country historically managed by our distributor.

Hermès Parfum & Beauté is preparing to take over its own distribution by creating a subsidiary (1 200 points of sale to date) in early 2021.

The team to be recruited (28 team members - office and field) for the creation of the subsidiary will be based in Madrid.

Principales activités

Main activities

1. Support the project to create the Hermès Parfums & Beauté Iberica subsidiary :

  • Collaborate with Hermès Parfum & Beauté's central teams in Paris to implement the project to create the Spanish subsidiary by proposing the best solutions for the project on all aspects and stakes : HR, business development, supply, IT, legal
  • Manage the performance of the Portuguese distributor by following the guidelines and recommendations of Hermès Parfums & Beauté.
  • 2. Elaborate and pilot a 3-year strategy to accelerate the development of the Hermès Parfums & Beauté Iberica subsidiary :

  • Collaborate with the central teams to define, validate and apply the central strategy locally
  • Implement the recommendations of the Department of Operational Development and Communication
  • Define, validate and ensure the deployment of the media strategy on the two markets, in perfect coherence with the Hermès Sellier international strategy and local issues.
  • 3. Defining, proposing and guaranteeing the Hermès Parfums & Beauté Iberica subsidiaries' sales and profitability objectives in line with the strategy defined by the Southern Europe Zone Director, and in conjunction with the operational teams :

  • Ensure the operational result and collaborate closely with central finance
  • Propose and define the sell-in / sell-out / stock objectives for each retailer, adjustable to each budget estimate. Reconcile turnover and forecasts monthly
  • Ensure the deployment of the Retail strategy on all personalized spaces, Hermès stores and points of sale with our animators.
  • Guarantee operational excellence through the application of sales method, training and experience.

  • Negociate Trade Marketing plans with retailers in line with central recommendations
  • Lead the deployment of the Southern Europe digital strategy to all players in its markets
  • Allocate the means to accelerate development : media, communication, overhead
  • Guarantee the respect on its markets of the price positioning validated in central.
  • 4. Manage and support internal and external teams

  • Recruit, train and animate, according to the principles and values of the House, a direct and indirect team of about 30 employees
  • Collaborate with local Hermès HR teams, Market Director, Communication
  • Elaborate development, training and motivation plans for the teams in accordance with the image of the House
  • Ensure a harmonious and stimulating climate through a management vision in line with the Human values of the House.
  • Candidate Profile

    Having a higher education, you have acquired a commercial and marketing experience of at least ten to fifteen years in the Beauty sector (three axes) in selective distribution on the Spanish market.

    You have thus acquired great maturity to work in complex and varied cultural environments. Entrepreneurial, you develop a strong sense of business and customer service in a resolutely international context.

    You have a perfect command of Spanish, English and ideally French in writing and speaking. You are a force of proposal and know how to skillfully combine a strategic and operational vision, and find effective solutions with measured means.

    Your relational and managerial qualities in multicultural contexts allow you to motivate and bring together your teams and various interlocutors around a common project in an entrepreneurial spirit.

    You are endowed with a strong dynamism and a natural leadership.
