Our continued global growth has turned what was once a scrappy, all hands on deck accounting organization into a best in class Accounting team that powers the financial stability of our business.

We’re looking to add core members to our GL Accounting team to join us as we continue to scale the company. THE CHALLENGE We are building a scalable and compliant month-

end close process that will provide management with complete and accurate world-wide US-GAAP numbers and analysis in a timely manner.

This role will play an important part in determining how to most effectively leverage our ERP system, refine existing processes, and developing various Accounting guidelines by collaborating with stakeholders across various teams.

You’ll work to drive accounting efficiencies across leadership at all levels within the organization. THE ROLE We’re looking for a Senior Accountant to be a core member of the Eventbrite Accounting General Ledger team.

The ideal candidate will have meaningful experience in a Big 4 audit setting, as well as a fast-paced, high-growth environment.

Someone proactive, who brings the energy, capacity and attitude to get the job done well, to be on top of each process and following up on the different tasks and requirements.

YOU WILL

  • Maintain a deep understanding of Eventbrite’s business and accounting operations
  • Support month-end, quarter-end and year-end accounting close for our Spain entity.
  • Assist with month-end close including, but not limited to, journal entries, accruals, and reconciling general ledger accounts
  • Support development & maintenance of a strong internal control environment over all financial transactions
  • Design and enhance systems and processes and help implement and establish best practices around financial reporting
  • Reconcile activity in both reporting and local ERP's.
  • Support the Head of Finance with various analysis and ad hoc projects.
  • Reconcile the revenue activity of the company and all the related GL’s in the ticketing process.
  • THE SKILL SET

  • 3-5 years experience across Big 4 audit and corporate accounting environments. TIC experience is a plus
  • Bachelor's degree with emphasis in Accounting or Finance
  • CPA license or similar preferred
  • Meaningful experience participating in month-end closing activities
  • Technical knowledge of GAAP / IFRS / SEC accounting and reporting requirements preferred
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving and reconciliation skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in both English and Spanish
  • Meticulous, rigorous with details
  • Capability to dive into the details reconciling with different sources of information, and seeing the big picture.
  • Ability to work under pressure and with tied deadlines.
  • Workday Financial experience is a plus
