A position as a MAIT Manufacturing Systems Technical Lead has arisen within Airbus Defence & Space in Barajas (Madrid). The successful applicant will join TOMSM department.

General responsibilities in this position will be to :
Supporting the Manufacturing and Test Engineering teams with new Manufacturing Systems development, and process improvements.
Develop best practice use of modern digitization within the aerospace & parallel industries through best practice reviews and Benchmarking.
Deploy the MRP system in an ARQUITECT LEVEL, not USER level.
Highlight process issues and risks and contribute to resolutions with key stakeholders.
Be responsible for the development and training of personnel on Site Manufacturing Systems.
Input to strategic Management.
Forward load and cost Management for MAIT Manufacturing Systems requirements.
Ensure Company and departmental standards and procedures are followed.
Input to new product work package set up, and input to non-standard bids for MAIT Manufacturing Systems team and new technology / systems on Projects.
Provide coaching, facilitation & mentoring in respect to overall process, tools and techniques.
Influence working modes across the MAIT Phase.
Support to Operational Teams.
Support Monthly Review Cycle to ensure high level of visibility, communications, & focus on MAIT Manufacturing Systems performance & development.
Manufacturing Systems Engineer’s responsibilities will be the following :
Ownership for the DEVELOPMENT & EXECUTION of the MAIT Manufacturing Systems road map for Business tools and Hardware in Barajas.
Responsible for performing a systemic evaluation of the current tools (which includes SAP, Sprint, Windchill, Pandora, Primvera P6) and establishing the MAIT vision for an integrated IT architecture which is united with the overall MAIT Strategy.
Ensuring the right IT solutions are selected and current tools are updated to provide a seamless architecture which is fully fit for purpose.
Including Routine Maintenance).
Implement the best use of 3D in production environment.

We are looking for someone able to WORK ON THE SYSTEM not with the systems, at an ARCHITECT LEVEL, not user level, with the following skills and experience :
Educated in an Aeronautical or Industrial Engineering degree or a related discipline.
At least 5 years of experience in MANUFACTURING SYSTEMS ENGINEERING ARCHITECTURE definition and implementation.
In depth understanding of how the IM ARCHITECTURE and manufacturing systems work and interface, not simply a user of the systems.
A minimum of three years’ experience of managing CHANGE PROGRAMS in a high-pressure assembly-based manufacturing environment.
Information Management experience and deployment of business systems
A good understanding of Production Control Processes (Production Planning (MRP) and Scheduling (MPS)
Around 5 years of Project and Team Management will be a plus.
High adaptability to work on new topics, new business and in a network mode.
Management & facilitation of a wide skill range of experts & managers.
Ability to apply appropriate industrial engineering methods and techniques to complex Assembly, Integration and Test systems.
End-to-End Supply Chain process re-engineering.
BENCHMARKING Total Productive Maintenance, Business & Cost Management targeting & reporting.
Advanced level in English.
Advanced level in Spanish.
Must be willing to travel.
