Job Summary

The Strategy, Value Proposition and Commercial Excellence Team at Amarin Spain and Portugal is looking for a Commercial Excellence Manager to lead the field force effectiveness processes, technology, and insights together with the field management teams.

Within this role the need to drive a core model with local adaption of field force, digital and sales that includes related technology such as CRM (IQVIA OCE), activity planning and incentives (Axtria SalesIQ), sales report and commercial insights.

The role will cover Spain and Portugal markets.

As the Commercial Excellence Manager, you will be responsible for coordinating the execution of the strategy in the field, determining key performance indications, providing tools and knowledge for driving best the execution of the strategy in close coordination with the Sales Managent team and supporting in design and implementation of the incentives model and sales report.

As well as how this role requires day to day management and support of Amarins’ customer relationship management platforms, as well as providing strategic input into commercial operations.

Insight generation and inspiring the organization to gain insights into what can be done to unlock productivity and effectiveness in our field operation is important.

Additionally support in the enablement of the omnichannel vision and customer engagement planning is key.

The roles requires the ability to interact with business leaders to understand business context and desired outcomes, and transpose them into applicable data and technology requirements.

There is a strong dependency on the Europe region and collaboration with the region to drive a core approach where possible.

Job Responsibilities

  • IQVIA OCE Personal; work with local and regional stakeholders to documents requirements, Lead and Influence Sales Force Effectiveness, ensuring that the commercial organization execute business strategy and has the processes, tools, information and knowledge needed to make decisions & deliver strategic outcomes and drive continuous improvement.
  • Design and execution of a commercial training plan for sales force enablement. Act in an advisory capacity to the local team on how to use the platforms to support business performance.
  • Lead sales planning & performance programs and tools in collaboration with Marketing and Sales Directors; ensure activity plans are aligned to business KPIs and incentives design.
  • Governance of all SFE metrics, processes, systems, regular reporting & return on investment of projects and performance.

  • CRM Management. IQVIA OCE Personal; work with local and regional stakeholders drive adoption and support with day-to-day needs of the field force.
  • Ensure correct use of CRM by field teams to enter key data to inform on various business KPIs. Business partner; support field teams and office functions on OCE Personal, Sales IQ related matters and work with external support teams to ensure correct help is applied.

    Providing CRM system and data management support to the internal customers, guiding teams to appropriate support channels where necessary.

    Delivery of training to the field-based and head office associates on use of the platform and maintenance of training materials

  • Lead omnichannel engagement enablement projects : CRM, Customer Database, profiling segmentation and targeting, incentives and required enhancements.
  • Define and maintain data quality for the Omnichannel ecosystem; ensuring data governance of local data sets, identifying data quality issues and providing potential solutions to resolve them.

    Roadmap; support regional teams in roadmap for digital ecosystem based on business and market trends.

  • Business insights management. Create visibility of sales data, field, customer and channel insights through best-in-class examples to allow Business Leaders to see relevant, sales-driving opportunities & develop actions relevant to the strategic business direction.
  • Value creation : by correctly identifying business needs, communicate and demonstrate value of CRM and data solutions to contribute to total business solutions.

    Data management; ensure quality of data and information.

  • Lean project management for key strategic projects. Leading internal multidisciplinary teams in order to guarantee the success of key market transformational projects.
  • Lean philosophy ambassador.

  • Primary contact for European Commercial Excellence team and launching updates or upgrades to process and systems including change management activities to drive new behaviors in omnichannel engagement and insights-driven culture.
  • Ensure compliance and alignment of the customer relationship management platform with the pharmaceutical industry's regulations.
  • Ability to travel 10-20%
  • Job Skills, Experience, Qualifications

  • Academic background in business, IT or similar background
  • 5 years of prior CRM, commercial excellence in Pharma.
  • Previous experience in Commercial roles would be valuable.
  • Hands-on experience with Salesforce based CRM platforms (Veeva or IQVIA)
  • Good understanding of customer metrics and omnichannel ecosystem
  • Experience in managing commercial (CRM, sales, etc.) data and producing reports
  • Strong understanding of Pharmaceutical commercial and field models
  • Ability to work with large data models and flows
  • Strong communicator
  • Lean Project management skills
  • Experience in driving change and adoption of CRM tools in a local context
  • Excellent project management skills with technical background
  • Self-starter, strategic mindset and solution oriented
  • Fluent Spanish and English, Portuguese would be a plus.
