Our apps connect millions of people worldwide, and the whole underlying infrastructure is done and maintained in-house. We have thousands of servers in several data centres, and we strive to make sure that the service is fast, reliable and uninterrupted.

To effectively deliver new features, our developers need fast, scalable and secure databases, storage, load balancers etc.

In Service Engineering, we design and build new solutions for our platform. It's our responsibility to ensure that everything under the code level, deep into OS, runs smoothly, is properly integrated, and can be promptly delivered to production.

We do not believe in reinventing the wheel we use a wide array of open-source technologies. It's our job to choose the solution that solves the problem at hand the best and integrates it into our platform.

We believe in the KISS principle : we do not create additional layers when we can avoid them, don't use "silver bullet" solutions, and hate "black boxes".

We believe that you don't need to be (or can be! we never stop learning) an expert in a technology to figure it out and start applying.

We use Linux, Puppet, Docker, Kubernetes, MySQL, Ceph, IPVS, Nginx, Python, Squid, Postfix, Named, Radius, Kafka, Unbound, ELK, Vault and much-much more, whatever works.

What we are looking for :

At least two years of direct people management experience in a technical company

Background in Linux administration and systems design

Some knowledge of project management

Good communication skills

Desire to take ownership of what you do and be proud of it

Key Responsibilities :

As a manager of Service Engineering, you will be responsible for :

Leading a cross-functional team of ten engineers

Managing the department's portfolio : tracking performance, facilitating progress, aligning priorities with other departments.

Recognising how Service Engineering can help other teams to achieve their objectives and assist with it

Leading the development of policies and strategies for the availability and maintenance of services and components

Enabling collaboration in the team

Working with our recruitment team to hire new engineers

Championing technical part of security compliances : PCI-DSS, SOX, GDPR
