Inside Channel Systems Engineer (ICSM SE) Middle East, Israel and Turkey

The Inside Channel Systems Engineer is a new EMEA-wide position within the Nutanix Systems Engineering organization. As part of the company’s growth and desire to develop the way we support channel target partners, the Inside Channel Systems Engineer role changes from the previous localized support model to become a scaled, low touch extensive reach position as part of an EMEA wide team.

This role will be based out of Barcelona and although beneficial there is no requirement to be a Spanish speaker

The role will be focused on two main areas :

  • Facilitating technical enablement of partners, primarily via digital training resources as well as one-to-many training sessions
  • Providing technical pre-sales support to the mid-market target’ partner community
  • This role will be part of the EMEA Partner Support Center (PSC). It is not country-specific however, due to language requirements there may be, in some instances, the need for the SE to have a bias towards supporting partners of the same language.

    It’s an exciting time to join this new team as we build and develop the systems engineering element of the EMEA PSC. You’ll be encouraged to participate and share ideas on how to build and optimize the support center and provide ongoing feedback on how it can be improved.

    In the early stages, the processes and systems may evolve quickly so you should be willing to adapt and contribute to this optimization in a positive way.

    Your Responsibilities

  • Develop a strong technical understanding of the Nutanix product portfolio and achieve relevant certifications
  • Provide technical pre-sales support for the target partner system engineers across EMEA. Support will be provided via a centralized process where they can submit a request for assistance which will be responded to by someone within the team
  • Sizing support to the channel partners will be more of a teach and review’ approach rather than a do’
  • Facilitating partner enablement will be the responsibility of this team, primarily via the online enablement tools, not by training on an ad-hoc 1-1 basis.
  • In practice, this means educating the partners on the available enablement resources, such as Nutanix University or X-Lab and answering queries they may have

  • You will also conduct one-to-many webinars as needed and you’ll be an important part of the feedback loop to the Nutanix enablement team to help improve the content and structure
  • The SE PSC team will track the technical enablement status across the EMEA channel and, working with the Inside Channel Sales Managers, find ways to encourage and accelerate enablement and certification
  • Initiatives for creating digital content will be encouraged, but it should form part of an overall enablement strategy and complement content created by the enablement team
  • As an EMEA-wide SE, you’ll be in a unique position to understand the broad partner pre-sales requirements and you should feed this knowledge back to help the PSC evolve
  • You should be customer-focused and always keep in mind that the aim of the PSC is to support a diverse range of Nutanix partners in developing and closing opportunities
  • About You

  • Fluent in English
  • Arabic speaker is a bonus
  • 5+ years’ industry experience including presales and / or channel experience
  • Knowledge of the virtualization and storage markets, data center consolidation, server technologies, end-user computing or public cloud is highly desirable
  • Confident communicator and be able to present new technical concepts to a diverse audience
  • Ability to work collaboratively with employees within the channel function and across functions including Sales, Marketing, Sales Operations, and Product Development.
  • Hands-on, and does what it takes attitude to drive success and help partners close deals
  • Participate in planning sessions with Nutanix Inside Channel Sales Managers and partners to align with their needs
  • Adaptable and able to work as part of a physically dispersed team, whilst still supporting each other
