The Market Access Disease Manager at Bristol Myers Squibb :
Manages Access strategy for certain tumours in order to ensure patients enjoy timely Access to BMS innovations in Oncology.
Together with local Market Access and Medical teams, ensures local toolkits for starting HTA / P&R local process is ready in the agreed timelines.
Provides local Access team with approved materials and training on new therapies / innovations.
Identifies products ideas that contribute to our differentiation strategy, using them to leverage the HEOR argumentation through statistically validated publications.
Evaluates and analyses information and generates high quality health economics and / or outcomes research input to the product profile, claims and value demonstration plan.
Makes use of effective communication skills to interact with payers and decision makers that need updated evidence on the therapies / markets BMS is working on.
In order to ensure optimal Access & Pricing conditions for BMS innovations, provides local teams with timely updates on HTA landscape and achievements / challenges in other national HTA agencies.
Aligns projects and interests between WW, Spain and Portugal to optimize BMS resources.
Proposes new approaches for assessing value of innovative therapies for both patients and decision-makers. Collaborates with WWHEOR Markets to ensure that BMS is leading on innovative methods for value assessment and patient reported outcomes (PROs).
Drives the interpretation, customization and implementation of BMS projects to support the timely and effective access of innovative therapies in close alignment with the Medical / RCO, Commercial / Access and Legal / Regulatory teams.
Coordinates scientific dissemination of BMS (RCTs, RWE, HTA, modelling) evidence : presents to KOLs, submits communications to scientific meetings and publishes manuscripts in peer-reviewed journals.
Provides strategic input into national / regional brand plans in Oncology, ensuring that these studies are designed and developed taking into account local specific requests.
Delivers on sound strategies behind new products with value arguments tailored to the needs of stakeholders.
Promotes the integration of Access into BMS activities and develops effective communication tools and training programs to increase the internal awareness and understanding of Access and its relevance to driving the business.
Demonstrates broad knowledge of all the therapeutic areas and pharmaceutical marketplace including industry, customers, competitors and regulatory agencies.
Builds and maintains strong relationships inside and outside the organization.
Follows and lives the company values and behaviours in search of the patients' benefit.
University degree within relevant areas or other applicable health care education. Postgraduate degree on Health Economics or related subjects.
4 to 6 years' experience in pharmaceutical industry (including high-level experience in HEOR and Access) as well as management positions and leading teams.
Experience or knowledge on principles, methodologies and tools applied on pricing, reimbursement, clinical trial design, regulatory affairs, and other relevant areas.
In-depth knowledge of national and pan-European HTA processes and implications.
Experience of working with NHS and Hospital payers, PAGs and medicine management groups.
Solid project management skills to secure the timely execution of complex activities.
Candidate must be energetic, organized and flexible to quick adjust priorities as company priorities change.
Ability to work effectively in a matrix environment at an European level.
Experience in building local relationships / networks with health care decision makers.
Experience in delivering business objectives in alignment with multiple internal and external stakeholders.
Experience in analysing complex issues, utilising strategic thinking and implementing tactical plans.
Fluency in English. Knowledge of other languages such as Portuguese is an asset.
In-depth knowledge of local pharmaceutical market, health care environment and competitive forces.
Clear understanding on how to effectively motivate, manage and influence functional teams and key decision makers.
Strong inter-personal skills.
