Scope of Responsibilities / Expectations :
We are looking for a Pre Sales Technical Architect with a proved track-record on the following competencies :
Engage with customers to fully understand problems and requirements, demonstrating deep knowledge of the customer’s problem space and solutions.
Requirements analysis of complex customer problems to determine compelling technology and service offerings.
Design of technology and service-based solutions, including generation of high-level designs, bill-of-materials, their documentation and management of the review process of these designs.
Presenting solution designs to potential customers and talking knowledgably about solution design and implementation including both theory and practical implementation experiences.
Supporting the procurement organisation to obtain and evaluate quotations from equipment vendors.
Lead all technical sales activities related to assigned sales opportunities
Work closely with the entire bid team to ensure overall customer objectives and strategy is maintained
Specific Knowledge / Skills :
A University Bachelor’s degree or similar (preferably in computer science, communications, software engineering or a similar field).
5+ years of successful design and deployment of complex mission critical communication systems for government customers.
Strong communication skills, both written and spoken (French and English). Fluent in other European languages like Portuguese is highly valued
Ability to explain complex technical issues in a way that non-technical people can understand.

Significant experience in at least two of the following domains :
Digital Private Mobile Radio (PMR) systems and technologies (TETRA, APCO25, DMR)
Public Land Mobile Network systems and technologies (3GPP : 2G / 3G / 4G / 5G)
Emergency services control rooms applications (calling taking, voice dispatch, GIS, CAD, etc)
IT Infrastructure design including servers, storage, virtualisation, cloud computing, high availability and disaster recovery solutions
RF Systems Design including mobile radio propagation, coverage and frequency planning, coverage acceptance testing
Fixed and mobile video solutions
Ability to initiate and build solid working relationships and to be self-motivated, results-oriented and operate with minimal supervision
Ideally, the candidate will have worked in a Sales / Pre-Sales environment
Motorola Solutions product portfolio experience and / or relevant experience in key competitor offerings is highly desirable
Location / Travel
The position is office based, including frequent travel (60%) to other MSI sites and customer locations within the region as required for specific projects.
The candidate must be eligible to live and work in France or Spain.
