Job Purpose

Standarize processes related with Trade Compliance. Follow up and support local teams regarding customs processes.Understand issues with brokers and have a structured plan to resolve the process.

License Management (import / export licenses)

Key Accountabilities

  • Partner with Export control team to align about sanctions and the impact on clearances
  • Trade Compliance internal auditing
  • Support on external audits (collect information, best practices, etc)
  • Face to face meeting with authorities to support regular audits / clarifications (only business critical and very high priority cases)
  • Regular communications / insights to countries and functions when FTAs change or updates
  • Analize the impact in our business when new laws, or any update of exinting ones
  • Partner with TAX Dept when required on customs requirements.
  • Guidance on law and processes to customs specialist colleagues, if requested
  • Support the identification of CI initiatives to ensure compliancy and deliver duty payback opportunities, where applicable.
  • Key Activities

  • Use AEB software platform and SAP’s, for daily reporting, monitoring and support in decision making
  • Work closely with SPOCs at each country to provide master data management support
  • Identify and support execution of CI opportunities, and manage Trade Compliance savings pipeline in ANT.
  • Change management : AEB deployment and training, work-flow changes, processes.
  • Guidance on determinate preferential origin of goods
  • Guidance on determinate classification of goods
  • Support on escalations coming from Business related with LTSD and preferential origin.
  • Analyze root causes for not preferential origin, and improve the process if proced.
  • Drive or followup for the Duty claim / find savings.
  • Sharing best practices among various clusters
  • Customs Audit support : regulatory framework, internal meetings with local teams involved, collect information, etc.
  • Education & Experience

  • Bachelor / master’s degree in Foreign Trade / Supply Chain
  • 10+ years of experience in Import, Export management
  • Good knowledge : Rules of origin, Product Classification,
  • Good to have : AEO (Authorized Economic Operator) or Customs Representative License
  • Exhibited experience of leading / contributing to CI / Lean projects or customs audits.
  • Well versed in working on SAP and other digital applications
  • Excel (moderately advanced skills)
  • General knowledge about import, export and custom clearance
  • Good knowledge about rules of origin
  • Analytical & strong stakeholder management skills
  • Being entrepreneurial thinking
  • Experience in Digital applications
