Responsibilities
This position focuses on the management of the Unix Servers farm within BNP PARIBAS, most of them RHEL but with other OS present as well (mainly CentOS and Ubuntu).
This infrastructure is used to service thousands of virtual servers and hundreds of physical ones. As part of this role, the candidate selected will have to help contribute to preserve the current environment and performance for a very demanding service with many critical services running on it.
As part of this role, the candidate has to help contribute to keeping the high availability environments performant and running.
Due to the large number of assets to manage, scripting is key to be able to manage all infrastructure. Vulnerability and obsolescence remediation, proactive improvements and implementing action plan for incidents are part of the day to day of this position.
The candidate selected will have to contribute to preserve the existing architecture and keep the necessary controls to allow the users the necessary access to their servers.
Centrify, Active Directory and user management skills are required. High reactivity, proactive improvements, capacity to follow planned actions linked to new projects and / or incident remediation are all part of the day-to-day of this position.
To work following ITIL methodology as this is part of the daily tasks in this and all other IT areas.
Main Activities
To contribute for Core OS-Unix BAU ensuring a proper follow-up of major topics.
To contribute to do a proper vulnerabilities remediation according to company rules.
To contribute in the design and implementation of new projects of the European countries.
To contribute to support core governance activities as defined and agreed with his / her manager
To contribute to achieve goals and objectives on time and with the expected quality following CIB guideline and management expectations
To follow ITIL methodology in the daily tasks.
Knowledge of the Norms and Standards of the BNP Paribas Group

Essential :
Advanced skills in administration and troubleshooting on RHEL (6, 7, 8)
Scripting experience in : Ansible Shell-script YAML Python API Rest
Experience working on big production environments >
1000 servers Physical & Virtual
Management of SAN and NAS at server side
Experience administering clustering solutions like : Veritas InfoScale OpenSVC
Desirable :
Skills on Ubuntu & Debian

Degree in Computer Science preferable but no mandatory

On Site Services : From 7 : 00h to 19 : 30h schedule to cover in weekly shifts of 8 working hours / day
On Call Services : Out of regular schedule, we provide an On Call services 24 / 7 to be covered in weekly shifts by team members.
BNPP is an international company, most of Spanish non-working days out of weekends are considered as business days, so they require On-site support -but this is covered with a reduced number of staff-.
As in many other large companies, many times it is required to do scheduled jobs on weekends to avoid to service disruptions during business days, this kind of interventions are shared between team members.
