Amazon is seeking an experienced Auditor to join the centralized Transportation Risk and Compliance (TRC) team in Madrid, Spain.

We are looking for individuals who can apply their knowledge of finance, operations, internal controls and compliance to a diverse set of risk areas.

In this role, you will work closely with Amazon's Last Mile transportation businesses and stations to understand their nuanced risk landscapes.

You will also partner with various legal, finance, and compliance teams to build and optimize compliance continuous monitoring programs that will assess Carrier Partners' compliance to key terms & conditions.

TRC’s remit is to drive compliance and risk management mechanisms for Amazon’s transportation businesses serving as a secondary assurance function, supporting Last, Middle, and First Mile, as well as external suppliers of these transportation services & products.

Responsibilities :

  • Perform audits of delivery service providers according to the requirements of AMZL
  • Verification, evaluation and assessment of contracted or newly appointed service providers to ensure compliance with regulatory compliance, safety and contract standards
  • Preparation of audit results and derivation of resulting recommendations.
  • Creation and implementation of recommendations for action in case of identified breaches of contract;
  • Development of productivity and quality standards for planned and ad-hoc reviews.
  • Specific focus can be given to payroll issues
  • Participation in other special projects / assignments.

  • 4+ years of Audit, risk management, process improvement or supplier management
  • BA / BS degree in economics, law or equivalent subjects.
  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills.
  • Process oriented / risk-based mindset
  • Think outside the box
  • Self starter
  • Demonstrated ability to successfully lead projects.
  • Excellent organizational skills including prioritizing, scheduling, time management, and meeting deadlines.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in both English and Spanish
  • Very good knowledge of payroll Spanish requirements
  • Team player

  • Preferred experience in a similar role
  • Understanding of basic data analytical skills and tools such as Tableau, SQL
  • Proven ability to work with cross-functional teams
  • Ability to thrive in a startup-like environment.
  • Knowledge of Spanish employment law
  • Excellent analytical skills and data focused mindset able to report facts with backed-up figures and metrics
  • CIA, Big5 experience, project management or 6Sigma knowledge
