Location : Madrid, SpainThe Sales Manager is responsible for managing the customer / category day to day operations while delivering sales and profitability targets for his / her account base.

Maximize the availability of our products in the appropriate channels of distribution consistent with our brand strategy with an emphasis on superior new product execution.

Execute consumer and shopper driven strategies for his / her customers that enable Newell Brands to achieve best in class results.

Utilize leading edge data, information systems, and metrics around financial, brand, and shopper trends to maximize market share, sales, and profits through price optimization for Newell Brands and our customers.

Build customer relationships at the buyer and senior buyer levels and facilitates connectivity in other functional areas including Marketing, Supply Chain, Communications and Operations.

Deliver results while maintaining the highest level of integrity. Foster an environment that generates breakthrough ideas and lead a collaborative and open organization that lives the values of Newell Brands.

Specific responsibilities will include but are not limited to :

  • Deliver sales and profitability targets.
  • Execute business objectives which will achieve e-originated sales growth across the account.
  • Build customer relationships across multiple areas at the customer’s organization, inclusive of, but not limited to Merchandising, Digital Marketing, Merchandising and the Social Channels.
  • Support the digital forecasting process by assessing and making recommendations based off of rate of sale and promotional needs and goal in- stock levels.
  • Execute consumer and shopper driven strategies for their customers in the digital channel provide recommendation on how to tie to on-
  • line through in- store levers.

  • Use data, information systems, and metrics around financial, brand, and shopper trends to maximize market share, sales, and profits.
  • Provide analytical and presentation support for Customer Business Managers(CBMs)
  • Lead the Business Segment on the needs of the Customer.
  • Execute Customer & Category Strategic Development and annual operating plan.
  • Collaborates with eSegment Teams to provide and explain market data to the customer
  • Works with trade and the eSegment to implement methods that assist our customers in effectively and creatively winning with consumers, shoppers, end-
  • users, and purchasers through promotions, packaging and merchandising.

  • Leverages our brands and product mix to improve profitability and meet customer, shopper, and Newell Brands targets.
  • Qualifications :

  • Previous leadership experience and technical qualifications :
  • 3+ years of direct and hands-on experience in sales and / or trade in the e- Commerce Channel
  • Selling experience within consumer products, preferably across multiple brands
  • Experience with a minimum $10M book of business
  • Background in dealing with selling the bag of multiple brands across many categories.
  • Willingness to travel 15-25% (alter by role)
  • Strong business acumen.
  • Ability to learn, understand and converse around key business issues.
  • Respected and trusted leader with a proven track record of achievement.
  • Strong decision-making skills and an understanding of where projects fit into overall Company and development strategies.
  • Demonstrated integrity and maturity, and a constructive approach to challenges.
  • Ability to operate independently given direction, and bring ideas and solutions to issues raised
  • Strong passion for both speed and simplicity.
  • Ability to analyze and assess organizational needs and provide solutions accordingly.

  • Educational Background :

  • BS / BA or University degree in Business or similar field
  • Additional Preferences :

  • Experience working in a consumer packaged goods (CPG), fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) and / or consumer durables industry strongly preferred
