We are looking for a passionate, strategic and action-oriented professional to lead our Corporate Development department in our headquarters in Barcelona.
As the Director of Corporate Development, you will play a key role in the ream leading fundraising, M&A, and strategic partnership opportunities.
You will act and operate as a startup within a startup, providing both expert strategic thinking and leadership skills, and will be part of the senior management structure, working directly with the CEO.
You will :
Lead Fundraising Rounds at Glovo : among other tasks, you will lead the preparation of the round, pitch to investors, valuation, business due to diligence and Term sheet discussion and execution
Lead M&A and Partnership opportunities : including origination, early analysis / screening, structuring, diligence, negotiation, and closing while continuing to be a guide and touch point during integration
Drive all aspects of strategic acquisitions & divestitures; harvesting external and internal relationships, proactively identifying prospects, creating relationships with investment banks and other financial institutions and / or target companies.
Develop relationships with key internal and external stakeholders to determine alignment on and feasibility of a deal, vetting the structure according to financial targets for profitable growth.
Key point person to meet with banks & external advisors on a global basis
Identify, develop & streamline repeatable processes for successful deal diligence & integration, present to Senior Management and Board of Directors
Source, negotiate and close new (global or regional) partnerships for Glovo. You will also be responsible for maintaining a solid relationship and maximizing the value of partnerships.
Perform market research relating to investment trends, global market environments, and analysis of benchmarking and comparative statistics
Ad Hoc Reports for management, the board, investor relations, and team presentations
Experience in a top investment bank, VC or Private Equity for more than 10 years. Experience with M&A and fundraising.
Experience with on-demand marketplaces will be highly valued, either by having directly worked or advised companies in the space.
Have deep experience in structuring partnerships and acquisitions, leading difficult negotiations, and executing deals
Addressing high-level strategic and business issues, detail-oriented and operationally focused
Ability to adapt, execute 360º and coordinate with all departments in a company
Excellent interpersonal communication skills and the ability to move easily between commercial, operational and product discussions.
