Job Description

The IT Strategy and Portfolio Planning Manager is the IT Strategy, Planning & Transformation key liaison to the ESSA BRMs as it relates to IT Strategy and TBM (Technology Business Management).

Accountabilities Include :

  • Partner with ESSA Leadership Team to ensure initiatives are aligned with Business and IT Strategies.
  • Creation of multi-year roadmaps (utilizing various sources) documenting sector investments with clear dependencies.
  • Collecting and analyzing considerable amounts of data and composing into a comprehensive format.
  • Facilitate AOP and PSP demand shaping sessions and trade-off discussions that take into account the overall portfolio affordability and deliverability.
  • Assist in the facilitation of out of cycle investment requests and the integration in the overall portfolio.
  • Assist Sector Portfolio Manager with managing the priority, interdependency and sequencing of projects / programs within assigned portfolio keeping in view of Portfolio Management Framework and Application Management framework (TIME).
  • Responsible for ensuring overall TBM Strategy is implemented and utilized properly within the ESSA Sector

  • Education and Experience :

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Business or equivalent / Master's Degree a plus
  • 10+ years IT experience in roles of increasing scope and responsibility including exposure to project / program management, testing and QA lead, IT Leadership and IT Strategy development.
  • Skills and Capabilities :

  • Broad understanding of Business and IT functions in the FMCG industry and processes along with strong analytical and troubleshooting skills
  • Excellent written, verbal communication skills with a track record of senior-level interaction, communication and presentation experience
  • Must be highly self-motivated with track record of driving competing & conflicting priorities
  • Ability to work autonomously with minimal supervision while consistently meeting objective
  • Ability to work collaboratively with both internal and external teams
  • Must be able to formulate high level strategic plans in complex environments (across multiple functions).
  • Must be able to lead meetings, communicate and persuade senior leadership when needed.
  • Must have advanced Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint and Teams (collaboration tools) skills
