In this role you are responsible for the delivery of go-to-market (GTM) projects and continuous improvements in Europe and Sub-
Saharan Africa (ESSA), primarily related to markets using SAP. The role leads a team of 5 employees in different locations and 6 contractors.
The role will be fundamental for the delivery of the Enterprise First program deploying SAP HANA S / 4 in the remaining ESSA non-
SAP markets, as well as leading the deployment of SAP Trade Promotion Management in Western Europe as well as managing the sector governance of the SAP template, and driving the SAP continuous improvements program and other strategic and tactical projects in the sector.
This is a sector role, which means you can be based in any of our strategic offices in ESSA.
Deliver Go-to-market Must-Win-Battles and Key projects for markets in ESSA
Management of GTM project portfolio for the sector (intake, estimation, prioritization, execution and transition to sustain)
Support the Enterprise First program roadmap and deployment in ESSA markets
Delivery of SAP GTM governance globally and for ESSA PIRT Markets
Provides deep functional ERP expertise in go-to-market projects
Ensure compliance with IT and SAP controls
Partner with other SAP functional leads to deliver cross-functional projects
Key accountabilities include :
Accountable for the delivery of go-to-market portfolio of AOP committed projects within the ESSA Sector
Enable and influence desired business outcomes, achieved through partnership with Business Relationship Managers, Sector and business units, leadership and other IT teams
Actively engages with the business relationship managers in defining optimal solutions to improve solution commonality and reusability across markets
Responsible for driving pursuit and estimation process for GTM projects, resource planning and forecasting, project activation and forecast accuracy
Submits monthly resource forecasts, manages project and baseline financials
Assist with the development of project timelines with a deep understanding of waterfall and / or agile methodologies and industry best practices.
Collaborates and manages deliverables and performance of external vendors
Executes and leads delivery of enhancements and continuous improvements in the SAP go-to-market area
Responsible for ensuring a successful transition to IT operations in each project, with high quality knowledge transfer and clear hypercare exit criteria
Partnership with Release Management to properly allocate projects to releases minimizing impacts to the business
Provides input to annual objectives to direct reports, conducts annual performance processes including setting objectives and measurement and performance evaluation, conducts PMP Process, responsible for recruitment decisions
SAP PIRT governance : Protecting and improving global standards, supports global governance and template management, and provides subject matter expertise across all global object related changes and thought leadership for all sector changes
Helping in identifying global lift & shift opportunities across sectors within the assigned SAP GTM space and executes within the sector.
Supports global center funded projects, helps deliver for the sector
Qualifications / Requirements
Bachelor’s degree required.
10+ years of experience related IT experience, CPG experience preferred.
10+ years of SAP project deployment experience, functional skills preferred in SD, Logistics, Order to Cash, CRM and Trade Promotion Management.
Experience on global SAP template governance.
Functional proficiency with at least 4 full life cycle SAP implementations.
Strong people management skills experienced in supervising teams of 5+ resources in different locations with different time zones and cultural backgrounds
Proficient in written & spoken English is a requirement.
Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization
Experienced in developing teams and cultivate talent
Assists with development of strategic vision for workgroup and ensures effective resource utilization
Knowledge and experience in following tools, disciplines and processes are nice to have : SAP Solution Manager, SAP ChaRM, ITIL tools & processes, ServiceNow, ALM, MS Teams, Agile / scrum methodology.
