  • Business Segment : Renewable Energy OnShore Wind Location(s) : Spain; Noblejas-Toledo Role Summary : This position will play a critical role in managing the Health & Safety function at the Noblejas Plant.
  • The successful candidate will report to the Plant Manager and will identify, coordinate and drive all related improvements in EHS with the site management team.

    Essential Responsibilities :

  • Managing the EHS function for the plant, including the supervision of team members, to ensure delivery of Safety performance in line with personal, team and functional goals and objectives
  • Developing and maintaining relationships with Operational and Functional Leadership, to provide efficient advice and guidance on EHS matters, share best practices and ensure consistency across all plant operations
  • Conducting regular audits to identify hazards and non-compliance issues and improve control mechanisms
  • Develop procedures aiming to fulfil EHS regulatory and GE internal requirements
  • Owning the Gensuite system in regards to compliance calendar, audit tracking system, training plans, findings, near misses, concern reports tracking and solving, as well as accidents investigations
  • Delivering EHS trainings, as necessary
  • Establishing internal assessments and audit processes aligned to Renewable Energy strategic objectives
  • Providing strategies to plan and organize work systems to reduce health & safety risks and recommending suitable adaptations to plant, machinery and processes
  • Creating business change as required through effective change management processes within the site
  • Participating in collaborative EHS projects
  • Supporting the analysis of accident data, gap analysis and team members' feedback in order to build prevention programs and contribute to improve Safety and impact accident trends
  • Implementing and maintaining EHS culture programs where required and across a complex and diverse plant operation
  • Interfacing with EHS legislative bodies and emergency services personnel as required, ensuring clear escalation and compliance with GE procedures
  • Liaising and responding to insurers / solicitors in response to personal injury claims
  • Preparation and issuance of regular and ad hoc reports and KPIs reporting
  • Overseeing the EHS Frame work and Internal and external Audit program
  • Innovation around company safety policies to ensure that local legislative requirements are met Qualifications / Requirements :
  • Educated to degree level, preferably science or engineering degree (or equivalent knowledge or experience)
  • Possession of an official Master in Health and safety, according Spanish regulation
  • You have significant Health and Safety experience, ideally gained in an industrial environment with exposure to risks such us heavy lifting, exposure to chemicals, electrical related risks, forklift driving, falling objects, particles projection, noise, and vibrations, among others
  • You possess an in-depth understanding of EU & Spain Health and Safety legislation
  • Good Knowledge of ISO 14001, OSHA 18001 and ISO 9001
  • Demonstrable record of driving change through an operation
  • You are fluent in Spanish and in English
  • EU Work Permit If contracted in Spain : Non-national candidates are responsible to know the minimum documentation requirements to be able to be contracted in country : NIE-
  • Social Security Affiliation Number in Spain (NAF) and Bank Account in Spain. They must be in possession of them at the time of start hiring.
