Job Description

You will be part of an international IT End-User Experience team, as such, you will be aiming for a constant improvement of how Nexthinkers perceive and make use of the available IT tools and services in all our offices around the globe.

Due to the fast growth of the company, you will exercise flexibility in evaluating the pertinence and suitability of current and past solutions as our challenges evolve and transform rapidly.

We take security as our first priority, so it needs to be integrated within every task, step or move you do. We strongly believe in security as a continuous and never-ending process.

In a single day, you may be deploying new system to serve critical services, writing a puppet script to solve a problem by automation, onboarding a new user, changing the battery of a mouse, consulting with a software engineer on a complex ipv6-

to-ipv4 tunnel setup, elaborating specifications for new ERP system while trying to make sure that the build system of the Engineering is up and running.

Job Duties :

Our definition of the IT scope is wide and varied. The following domains are listed to allow you to get an idea of the type of tasks you will be performing on a day-

to-day basis. We do not expect you to be an expert in all of these domains but we do expect you to have experiences in a number of them and to be ready to increase your skills in the others.

  • Support a wide range of users from software engineer to accountants on topics of diverse technical complexity ranging from Can you purchase a mouse for me?
  • to How can I increase the number of inodes on a partition? .

  • Deliver to Nexthink users the best service and tools possible accordingly to their business needs.
  • IT project management of the projects you lead on remote offices while keeping the rest of the team up to date.
  • Integrate information security aspects in everything you do. Security is a part of everything we do and is essential to our operations.
  • Provide new ideas and solutions to sort out problems or improve our systems.
  • Perform system monitoring, implement metrics and review trends to pro-actively tackle issues before users are impacted.
  • Write user documentation on tools and services.
  • Write documentation on systems you have designed
  • Provide remote and onsite support to Nexthinkers on their respective workplaces including offices in other countries
  • Qualifications

  • 1 to 2 years as a System and Network Administrator
  • Very good communication skills and team work
  • Good knowledge in Linux, Windows and Mac administration.
  • Knowledge in networking and associated aspects (switching, routing, firewalling, VPN)
  • Knowledge in basic IT Services (Monitoring, Backup, etc )
  • Skills in virtualized infrastructures stack are a nice to have
  • Good scripting skills
  • Strong motivation / curiosity to learn new things and discover new technologies
  • Very good problem-solving skills and open-mind towards suggestions
  • Be able to work autonomously.
  • Speak professional-level English is mandatory. Spanish and / or French is a plus.
  • University degree is a plus
