    This position sits within our Destination Management unit.

    JOB DESCRIPTION : AT A GLANCE

    AT A GLANCE

    The Terminal Supervisor provides Passenger Services as / on when required and support the Port Agency Services Manager in order to ensure an excellent service to their cruise line clients.

    MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Main point of contact for cruise ships, ports and port agents, for all Terminal services related matters in the Port of Palma de Mallorca.
  • To collect, review and select CVs to work for the Palma Terminal operations
  • To conduct employee interviews and assessment centres
  • To register each new worker with the Social Security authorities and register contracts with the national employment service (INEM) in a timely manner
  • To ensure the appropriate people participate in each operation
  • To organize the list of employees who assist to each operation and confirm assistance (call or email)
  • To be the main point of contact for staff in employee relation matters
  • To keep assistance records and internal control of services provided during the call.
  • To provide the employees with all necessary uniforms and tools to perform their work
  • Preparation of the services requested by the ship or port agent before the stopover.
  • Preparation of the official documentation needed for the cruises stopovers (Port authorities and Port Agents).
  • Ensure current legislation regarding all port related matters are communicated in timely manner to all clients and operational teams (i.
  • e. security / internal audits).

  • Assistance of the ships at the port the day of the stopover, coordination of all requested services.
  • Attention, settlement and registration of incidents and report it to port authorities and port agents.
  • Closure and reporting of the attended ships.
  • Shifts flexibility and excellent disposition to deal with last minute changes
  • KEY RELATIONSHIPS

  • Terminal Supervisor Palma de Mallorca, crew on board, Port Authorities
  • CANDIDATE PROFILE

  • Good academic background.
  • Excellent knowledge of the English and Spanish language both written and oral.
  • Good office administration and organisational skills with a keen eye for attention to detail.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office programmes.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Orientation to results and customer obsessed
  • Proactiveness and natural problem solver
  • Ability to analyse and resolve problems
  • Experience in ship operations will be a plus.
  • The position will be subject to the right to work in the country.
