Head of Marketing Diabetes Care
Job Purpose :
The Head of Marketing reports directly to the General Manager of Roche Diabetes Care Spain (RDCS) and is part of the Management Center Iberia Leadership Team.
The Head of Marketing is responsible for developing and executing a clearly defined marketing and communications strategy in a manner that supports consistent business growth and enhances brand equity and awareness.
This position is responsible for planning, organizing, staffing, and managing all marketing functions to achieve the goals of Roche Diabetes Care Spain.
He or she defines, proposes and monitors the marketing practices needed to fulfil both the annual objectives and the strategy defined by the global and local organization.
Key Accountabilities :
Own the commercialization strategies for all products and services offered in the market, including value proposition creation, resource deployment, campaign development, salesforce coordination and implementation.
Define, propose and promote the annual Marketing Plan in terms of the general Strategy and Policies of the Diabetes Business Unit.
Direct the operation of the team of Product Managers of the Marketing Area, defining policies and guidelines, and taking responsibility for the expected outcomes of the Diabetes Business Unit.
Define the price policy for Diabetes Business Unit products, according to the national market, market surveys and the policy established to accomplish the sales objectives.
Define the promotions policy, dynamising and supervising the promotional campaigns that will be implemented by the sales team.
Provide leadership in the development of joint ventures, affiliations and partnership arrangements.
Coordinate dealings with International Marketing, representing Spain (at times, both Spain and Portugal) at all meetings organised for this purpose and being part of the project and work teams at international level.
Foster and coordinate the necessary actions to obtain, in the short- and medium-term, team motivation and engagement in order to accomplish goals and objectives.
Plan, monitor and control the Marketing Department’s budget process.
Hire, direct and develop a high-performing marketing team.
Key Skills and Experience :
Minimum experience of 4-5 years in a similar position in the Marketing Department, preferably in a multinational company.
University qualification : Degree in Health Sciences (Medicine, Chemistry, Biology, Pharmacy) or Business Sciences (Economics, Business Administration, Marketing).
Post-graduate training in Marketing or an MBA preferable.
Advanced-level Spanish and English.
Previous experience in Personnel Management and Administration preferable.
Accustomed to working in a multicultural and diverse environment.
