Portfolio Marketing Manager (Empower Digital Workspace) & Social Media - SEMEA (Based in either Paris or Madrid).
The Portfolio and Social Media Marketing Manager will be part of VMWare SEMEA Marketing Team.
He / She will implement EMEA Mobility plans and design / drive / execute SEMEA specific programs - working with central EMEA / Corp functions, as well as country Mobility and Marketing teams in the region (Fce, Italy, Iberia, Turkey, Middle East, SSA)
He / She will also own the strategy and execution of social media in the region amplifying EMEA Programmes, identifying and executing CxO digital intimacy and digital lead generation programmes for the region.
Act as the Social Media evangelist’ of the SEMEA organisation.
Portfolio responsibilities :
VMware’s Portfolio Marketing Manager is responsible for the launch and sales growth of Mobility & Desktop solutions across the region.
He / she responsible for driving the regional adoption AW, Workspace & Mobility key solutions based on business goals and driven by marketing results : he / she supports the regional sales teams achieving their revenue quotas, by proactively driving and executing creative and targeted demand generation programs and expands best practices in the SEMEA region (Entreprise, Commercial, Channel and with Technology Alliance Partners).
The person will be the primary liaison between regional Mobility sales and the entire SEMEA marketing organization. This role requires experience both in strategic planning and tactical execution of marketing initiatives to deliver tangible results.
Support the development and management of an integrated marketing plan for the SEMEA Region, to drive the adoption and growth of mobility solutions
Understand the EDW global strategy and its translation to the SEMEA level to define and deliver appropriate mix of Thought Leadership, Awareness, Pipe Generation, Pipe Acceleration and Relationship Building to Drive Pipe Coverage and Marketing Pipeline Contribution
Integrate Solution Providers and Service Providers partners plan into overall marketing mix; managing dedicated & joint partner marketing plans, measurement needs to be in place for the achieved results via Partners
Manage the budget and monitor investments to assure ROI
Leverage Strategic Audience Programs and Campaigns as key routes to market’
Execute in country programmes such as key events
Identify and execute marketing plans and programmes with Microsoft, Google, Apple & Samsung as relevant.
Interact closely with the Pan-EMEA Portfolio Marketing Manager for EDW to ensure the right mix on global and regional programs
Create and execute integrated marketing programs and initiatives for the EDW business in selected SEMEA countries.
Coordinate, monitor, review & report on execution of all EDW marketing activities in the region
Be an active and integrated part of the SEMEA marketing team to create an effective network for marketing success
Be the primary regional representative for all EDW marketing matters, and drive the marketing conversation with the Mobility regional Sales lead
Digital responsibilities :
Responsibilities include the definition and execution of a SEMEA Social Media strategy working with EMEA, Corp and countries to best drive a and innovative digital platform.
This position requires someone who
Drive the strategy, create content, define automation and amplification programs for social medias in SEMEA (blog, SM accounts, web), working with EMEA and local teams
Masters, drives and executes social media campaigns
Manage the agencies, drive influencers’ programs and report KPIs
Acts the Digital Ambassador of the region to drive Digital change across SEMEA (internal & marketing programmes
Prior work experience within an international company, in a matrixed organization.
Deep Understanding of Business to Business marketing
Strong knowledge of the IT industry, the key players and their strategies, (incl. Mobility as a requirement)
Partner marketing expertise, as this GTM is key for the success of this solution.
Genuine mix of both strategic thinking and execution needed, this is a hands-on role
Ability to initiate and execute marketing strategies and programs end-to-end
Able both to clearly articulate planning logic, execution details, and results of past programs created and executed, and to suggest new programs
Excellent interpersonal and persuasive skills.
Must be a modern marketer with deep understanding of social media, marketing automation (Eloqua), CRM (salesforce.com preferred)
Proven track record of driving innovative and disruptive marketing projects that drove change
Successful track record at driving and executing strong social media programmes
Previous pipeline responsibility required : measuring and achieving ROI
Personal qualities : Must be highly Self Driven, Autonomous, Influential, Persevering, Reliable, Direct, Innovative and hands’on to execute multi-projects.
Based in Paris, France and able to travel within SEMEA to an appropriate level
BA Degree or equivalent / higher required
Proven track record of driving social media strategies
Education, Training, Experience :
BA Degree or equivalent required, MBA or equivalent preferred
Strong enterprise IT marketing background, minimum of 10 years of directly relevant experience
Good spoken and written English
Digital workspace and / or MDM experience required
