Reporting to the Manager of Deployment Engineering, this position provides technical expertise and support during the installation, deployment, and maintenance phases of ASSIA's award-winning software products.
The Technical Project Engineer is primarily involved in the analysis and implementation of technical system requirements and ensuring that project technical needs have been met.
Working closely with internal Systems Engineering Development teams, as well as externally focused members of the Technical Sales team, this position works to ensure that ASSIA's solution is fully functioning according to specifications within customer’s environment.
The Technical Project Engineer may also provide follow-up support to company sales staff and customer personnel by disseminating technical information on specific applications.
10% international travel can be expected.

Bachelors in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering or equivalent
Masters in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering
Entry level (1-3 years experience)
Experience with Linux (as a user) as well as programming in scripting languages like Perl or Python is desirable
Knowledge of database models and their use through SQL
Knowledge of network or telecom management systems and devices, specifically as as they pertain to xDSL, fiber and WiFi related systems
Familiarity with object oriented software languages
Excels in providing technical support to internal and external customers
Strong organizational skills
Ability to manage changing priorities and deadlines
Time management - Proven ability to estimate and prioritize tasks
Ability to multi-task in a multi-customer support environment
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Commitment to customer service
Comfortable working customers to gather requirements and present results
Able to interface with both technical customers and non-technical personnel
