Within Information Technologies & Solutions (ITS), the newly created Chief Data Office (CDO) is engaging into a global Data & Analytics company-

wide transformation that will build capabilities Sanofi needs to reduce the cycle time from data to decision-making, delivered through 4 main areas :

SEARCH & DATA ACCESSIBILITY

  • Be able to find, access, interoperate and reuse data across the enterprise
  • Understand the data context and have clear principles on how and who should have access to data

  • A single-source of truth to manage business performance

  • A single-source of truth for master records (i.e. customer, products)
  • Ensure completeness, consistency, enrichment, accuracy, conformity, and integrity of Sanofi data
  • Enterprise-wide efficient, integrated and high-quality services to manage data lifecycle, from acquiring to purging.
  • Reporting to the Head of Data Consumerization, the Data Quality Domain Manager will organize, manage, optimize and coordinate all enterprise activities in the areas of Data Quality Management (DQM).

    The span of control will be across all functions including R&D, manufacturing, medical, commercial and core enterprise. The Data Quality Domain Manager will build and manage a team of experienced professionals responsible for direct delivery of capabilities to prioritized areas of the business and for governance to other areas around technical architecture, solution architecture, service design and measurement.

    The geographic scope is global with the supporting team extending across locations in the Americas, EMEA and APAC.

    Key responsibilities :

  • Lead Data Quality Management Program
  • Categorically accountable for Data Quality Management across the organization in alignment with FAIR data principles
  • Build and maintain a DQM prioritized roadmap for capability and service deployments of Minimum Viable Products (MVPs) across the globe
  • Coordinate with the Enterprise Information Management Operations team in service transition and market deployment
  • Define the technical architecture and solution architecture for long-term operational excellence in a global organization while maintaining compliance with local data management regulations
  • Manage key stakeholders of customer programs and organizations to ensure alignment on scope and approach of service delivery for DQM
  • Define and implement a Data Quality Framework for measuring data quality of information assets both at points in time as well as longitudinally
  • Create and measure relevant Data Quality KPIs that change based on perspective and individual use cases to maintain relevancy across functions
  • Design and deliver on automation capabilities to improve overall data quality at scale while minimizing the amount of manually intervention necessary
  • Define and implement a Data Quality Management Operating Model that defines the roles & responsibilities, data processes and flows for all data domains
  • Create a set of integrated services including data operations and data stewardship to manage business rules, ensure data quality and address data issues during data ingestion as well as down-stream processing
  • Communicate across stakeholders to promote and govern technology, solution architecture, data quality framework and service models to drive towards harmonization of DQM across the enterprise
  • Source and manage a team spread across locations in the Americas, EMEA and APAC leveraging Sanofi data hubs based on business demand and enterprise prioritization
  • Basic Qualifications :

  • Master’s Degree or above in Technical or Business field (e.g. engineering), or equivalent data-focused work experience
  • 15+ Years experience in technology, consulting, life sciences
  • 10 Years experience working in Data Quality Management or Data Governance
  • Proven leadership of high-performing cross-functional global teams in matrixed organizations
  • Preferred :

  • Deep understanding of life sciences data and data analytics
  • Experience in delivering DQM and knowing areas of risk along with how to mitigate them
  • Knowledge of process methodologies and innovative ways of managing Data Quality
  • Ability to work with external partners and lead partnerships
  • Ability to articulate and lead extended teams along long-term capability development roadmap, and to multi-task in a deadline-intensive environment
  • Highly developed analytical, problem-solving, change management and consulting skills
  • Strong change leadership, communication, influencing, and negotiation skills
  • Ability to travel globally
