Coordination of a working team of engineers and technicians working for the development of Structural Durability & Reliability projects, the engineer will assume responsibilities in the following areas : -
Coordination of the team. - Technical leader. - Contact with the clients. - Preparation of technical and economical proposals to the client's request.
Vehicle instrumentation and road load data acquisition programs. - Ensure the quality of measured data and that the objective was met.
Analysis and verification of road load data, including comparison of data with established test procedures and historical data.
Data processing for fatigue damage calculations and correlation analysis using various tools and computer programs (examples : GlyphWorks and MTS RPC) to assist in the development of new durability test definitions.
Control the operation of the road simulator test rigs available in the laboratory from both the technical and timing point of view.
Write test reports to document the project results and communicate to the clients. - Prepares and updates laboratory work instructions.
Be active with proposals for the improvement of both the test methods and the engineering services provided to the clients.
Profile - A minimum of 3 years' experience in projects related to vehicle structural reliability. - Experience with road load data acquisition systems.
Technical knowledge of transducers such as load, displacement and accelerometers. - A solid understanding of fatigue and fatigue analysis (Stress and Strain Life methods).
Experience working with tools as Glyphworks and / or RPC Pro. - Knowledge of automotive technology, vehicle architecture, assembly structure, modules, parts, and vehicle functions.
Experience working with road test simulators will be an asset. - Demonstrated good judgment, excellent team communication, root cause and problem solving skills.
BS in Mechanical Engineering as preferred. Languages - Fluent in English (written and spoken). - France and / or German will be an asset.
